Should I?

I initially had silicone implants in 1987, had them replaced in 1998. Determined one had ruptured at that time. Planned to have them removed but PS said I might have even less breast tissue than before implants. I was a 32AA BEFORE, so replaced instead. Is it true that you have less tissue afterward

Hi Little Mz.Texan! You know I had a AA size breast before I had implants put in and now after my explant I'm a Bcup. I had implants for 23 yeares and like you I had 2 sets. My first set was put in in 1990 and the 2nd set was put in 1997. These surgens want the easy money and the easier surgery. Most but not all will try to talk you back into the web of breast implants. I am so thrilled and so elated that I am FREE of breast implants that I cannot find the words to discribe it. I wish for you this same happiness of being natural and free. Feel free to write me and I'll be happy to answer any questions. I found this site and thank God I did, because these great gals helped me through my explant. I'll be happy to be there for you too. Sending you much Love and Support. ttBirdie

That definitely gives me hope, ttBirdie. I think I'll be happy even if I am an AA again as long as I'm healthy again. It's hard to face the fact that I did this to myself but no sense focusing on that--instead, I'm going to move forward!

You know many of us on this site wonder how we did it to ourselves...as far as implanting these strange large balloons inside of our chest cavities. Our bodies are fighting the foreign matter from the moment they are inserted. We were young and misinformed and even if your not young your still misinformed. Look at the new pic's of BrightenBird...she looks stunning with her natural tiny breast. In her before pictures her body posture says it all. Us gals that have explanted and are here is because we believe in what we did and what to encourage the other women to be fearless and reclaim their God Given Bodies Back. Deep down you already know what you want to do....follow your heart.

I was a B cup before - prob an E with (i have put on 12 kgs since then) and after explant am a lovely D/DD :o) MANY women - I would say most- end up with more agter explant. As you age you do get more breast tissue & most of us put a little weight on too ;o) Good luck! I could not be happier with my decision to explant after 23 years!! :o) xx

I think I'm only 5-10 pounds heavier than I was in 1987 but I think I'll be fine even if I'm tiny tiny. I guess I'll just see how it all goes.

Actually many women as we age get more breast tissue. a good friend of mine is a mammographer and has seen thousands of breast and says women get bigger, maybe not higher and tighter but they do have more breast tissue with age.

Whoo hooo for more good tissue! That was my experience too. The only real discomfort I felt was the same as you were describing mine felt a bit like stinging also but nothing that could not be handled. Mine were almost 13 years old to the day when one deflated.
