Anyone have Belly Button issues?? My CG rubbed it and cause a burn like sore so PS took me out of it for 5 days, its been 21 days and the outside is healing but inside it still oozing and bleeding seems to be getting deeper. PS will surgically clean it and drain it soon but should I be concerned?? Want to hear similar stories pls

Operation was 10/8. Struggling with the delayed healing process. Really wish I could lay on my stomach again. I had an extended TT and a BR. How are the rest of you guys progressing?

Anyone else dealing with a stitch that opened and created a hole? Anyone else have a BA/BL that feels like breasts are very tight and sensitive? I'm almost 4 weeks PO. The hole is at base of breast, wide as my pinky finger. Now developing rash around incisions that are healing on breasts. Breasts have moments of extreme tightness, and feel sore. Massage helps, but just wonder if anyone else experienced this?

Hi 3kidsmom. I had a stitch that popped under my left breast and it sounds exactly what you have. It was annoying and sore at times. I went to see my PS to have it checked. He bandaged it back up and only sponge baths for 3 days.

I'm 3 weeks post op and just noticed a small whole under my right breast at base as well, ugh.. I'm using polyspirin if it doesn't get better I'm going to call PS.
AussieMumof3 12 Nov 2012
this happened to me at 3 weeks, it is very common because this area has the highest amount of tension. Mine became triangle in shape and about 1/2 an inch, it took a good week but it has scabbed over now and is healing well. They told me to put polysporin and neosporin on gauze and place it in my bra. Im sure you will be fine :)

My current status I know I have two open holes on both sides. They are both slightly larger than a quarter. I've been using gauze with ointment already on them that I got from Mexico and I put a dry gauze over it then my top. Ever since I started using the gauze I got from Mexico the whole looks like it might be healing although I still see them the same size. Before they where buldging out and slightly pink and now it looks like it might start to scab (crossing my fingers) I've had pain on and off. I stop wetting it (full body showers) after 2 weeks of it coming open. So now I sponge bath and do full baths every 3/4 days. Please keep me posted. It will get worse before it gets better.

After reading comments I'm wondering if I'm changing bandage and cleaning too often? I change and clean every morning and every night before bed. How long did you go before changing/cleaning it before it scabbed?
3kidsmom 12 Nov 2012
I started with just using ointment, until I read AM3's happening and began using gauze. Gauze seems to be helping. Good luck. It's really common, but annoying....
AussieMumof3 12 Nov 2012
I used to change mine morning and night too.
CityMom 12 Nov 2012
I change every morning and some mornings I have to wet them cause they get stuck. I got really depressed and still am, everything was going great no pain swelling constipation infection I mean it was going great and 3 weeks in this happens. But I try not to think about it. I do however need to take it easy and can't raise my hands bend ect. But I agree it's sooo annoying. It's been 3 or 4 weeks since they opened and still no scab for me. :(
3kidsmom 12 Nov 2012
Ugh! I'm sorry CM! Here's to scabbing soon! I read HTownMomof3's issue with TT incision opening. Seems hers took nearly 2 mos to close....so I hope it's sooner than later. I'm wondering if Excited Momma's PS did best thing and bandaged her back up....wondering if it would make healing faster since yours are bigger than a quarter, that's a good size hole. So sorry:(

16 days PO and swell he'll is no joke. Went back to wearing my binder. I would rather have the itchy rash it causes (even with a tank top under) then this swelling!!!!!
always running 5 Nov 2012
The swelling is AWFUL! I felt like I was going to bust open some nights.... Try to get off your feet and get some water. I know easier said than done sometimes.

F/U appt today. PS says healing well but wants to wait till Tues to take out 1st drain and Fri for 2nd. 7 DPO today, can't believe it! Really working today on standing up straight for the sake of my lower back, ouch! That is a chore and a half! Any suggestions on moving from the recliner to the bed? I've not been brave enough to try yet.
Jill13 2 Nov 2012
I went into bed week two after 2nd post op. dr. Said I was standing straight enough that I could try sleeping in bed. Maybe once you can stand up straighter try it??
42Mommyof3 2 Nov 2012
I've slept in my bed since day 1. My DH helped me up the first few days then I slowly rolled out of bed on my own. Then I realized how much stronger my abs were and started rolling up grabbing the back of my knees. Almost like doing crunches. PS said I can either lay flat or sit up kind of slouched. As long as my TT incision wasn't squished or creased I was fine.
Mom3lovebugs 3 Nov 2012
Same for me... I was in a bed from the get go. Had to have assistance for the first 2 days but then was able to do it myself.
Jill13 5 Nov 2012
the first night I tried I propped myself way to highland I was very uncomfortable. The second night I tried I I used only two pillows behind my head and one pillow under my knees. I also sat down on the bed then kinda leaned to one side until as my husband put my legs on and then had help getting comfortable on my back. Hope that's helpful. It worked for me.

So ONE freaking day without my spanx caused me to swell over 3 inches and gain 8 lbs!! I called my PS and they said to keep them on as long as possible. I have been chugging water and it's not budging. I wanna cry....

I had my MM last Fri, 10/26, w/ TT, BL, BA & hernia repair. Everything went well but I'm definitely on the emotional roller coaster right now wondering one day why I did this then I get on here & feel much more encouraged about the recovery & future outcome the next day. I am 5 days post op today & have my follow up this Fri. Any suggestions on a CG? My PS said to bring Spanx to the appt but it seems to me in reading reviews everyone has trouble w/ swelling when they switch to Spanx. Thanks for the advice in advance!
