Scar Therapy

I had my TT with MR on the 7th of December and my doc wants me to start scar treatment. He has given me a lotion and also Biocorneum which he wants me to use twice a day. Does that mean I need to shower twice a day to put the creams?  Also, for those of you who are working, how do you'll manage? Thanks
