Serious scalp itching after forehead lift 2 months ago, when will it end?

Incision made at hairline across my forehead, and 3 " on each side of my head.  Top on my head (while numb) itches incessantly but I can't relieve it. Now it is in my cheeks and ear.  Any comments?  I was told this incision has not been done in years, the Dr. said since my hair is thin he decided to take this approach.

I have reported this doctor to the Medical Board here in CA. Not that they can do anything. But I did report this as fraud since he stated in the surgical report the brow lift was done, then told me 3 months later it was not. He didn't offer me a refund of that portion of the surgery until He was confronted by me, and if I had not done so, he would have just kept the money. That is Fraud!

Itching hasn't ended yet and I am over 7 months out. I doubt if it ever will. People-if you decided to do a brow lift, do not let the doctor talk you into a hairline brow lift. Tow reasons: 1. The incision is done on your forehead, and at least in my case, looks like I had brain surgery. My scar did NOT fade as the doctor had promised. and 2. The nerves that are cut cause severe itching and numbness not only on the scalp, but on my cheeks, eyelids, down under my jaw. My ears are numb to the touch and the lobes are lifeless. I don't know if this happened due to the forehead incision or the incisions behind my ears. I do know that when I run my finger behind my ears, it is like craters the whole way behind them and when I sleep, the lobes fold up and get crumpled. What a mess! t

I have to wear a wig all the time, and the lace front ones just barely cover the scar.

It has diminished, but never goes away, My hair is 1/4" long on the top so I can apply medications to the scalp. I was given a couple of medications to take orally, but now my taste is off, and I had a mouth full of canker sores. I have stopped the oral meds, but now can't really taste anything. I hope this side effect goes away! And to think I signed a release from any liability just to have him refund 3/4 of my money. This possibly could last for the rest of my life. OMG

I have called several attorneys, but they said since I signed a release it could cost up to $25,000 to fight it in court and break the release, then I could file a suit. I don't have that kind of money, and they want a large retainer just to start.

Yes. All the time. Medications have given me sores in my mouth and my taste buds are gone. Temporarily, I hope. Does anyone know of an attorney that can assist me in getting out of the agreement I signed while on heavy narcotic pain meds, and not being informed that this could happen let alone continue for possibly the remainder of my life?

I wish I could help you. I know of no attorney. I don't even know where you would start. I hope the itching stops for you - it certainly can't go on the remainder of your life. What does your surgeon say about the itching?

I was researching browlifts and came across a comment you made. How are you doing, better I hope. :)

I'm so, so sorry. I hope your taste buds come back and the itchiness dissipates. My thoughts are with you.

Thank you. I am desperately trying to find an attorney to help me. I have gone to a Neurologist, an ENT, and dermatologist. All said it is nerve damage from this surgery

there has to be someone out there who will help w/o a $25K retainer

I am so tired, and 4 attorneys have turned me down. They say it's too difficult to break the signature and there is no guarantee I could win anyway.

Not doing any better today than just after the surgery. Over 7 months have elapsed and I am going nuts with all the itching. I have shaved all the hair off my head so I can apply greasy topical medications. I look like I just had chemo! I have been asked if the brain tumor surgery was a success. That's how bad the scar across my hairline looks.

I just ate popcorn tonight and it tasted as though it had no salt on it. I could taste a hint of butter. No joy in eating anything any more, but I am a sweet eater and even though I can't really taste it, I eat it anyway. I have gained 19 pounds since surgery. 10 lbs. went on when I started oral meds, and the rest a combination of being house bound and no exercise. I was doing treadmill, however when I began to get warm, the itching increased to being almost unbearable. I can't even take my little dog for a walk. No wigs or hats for any length of time (over 10 minutes, because I begin to sweat and itch. This life is getting more and more difficult to dwell in.
