I am also thinking of having LL done in the San Mateo office. Does anyone know the cost w/ or w/o the lipo? If you have used this office please let me know what you thought of the results.

I was seen at the SAN MATEO office July 23, 2007. Before seeing a COUNSELOR I talked to a patient seated next to me. HE WAS THERE TO HAVE HIS STITCHES REMOVED. HE SAID HE HAD BEEN THROWING UP ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER SURGERY AND COULD NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH TO CHEW. HE SAID HE WAS 48, HE LOOKED ABOUT 28 OR 29. HE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE LACK OF FOLLOW UP BY THE DOCTOR. EVEN AFTER HEARING THIS, I PUT UP $460. DOWN PAYMENT FOR MY OWN LIFT. I SUFFER FROM SCALP PSORIASIS AND I WAS TOLD MANY YEARS TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO INJURE MYSELF BECAUSE THIS COULD SETUP ANOTHER SITE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PSORIASIS. LSL WAS QUICK TO SAY THIS WAS OF NO CONCERN WITHOUT GIVING MUCH THOUGHT OR TO AT MY SCALP. I DON'T WANT THE DISEASE TO SPREAD ONTO MY FACE. I PLAN TO CANCEL MONDAY MORNING AND GET MY MONEY BACK. $4600. WAS THE PRICE GIVEN ME. THERE IS A $1,000. OFF SPECIAL. LIPO FOR ME IS $1200 BUT THE SPECIAL AT THIS TIME IS HALF OFF. TOTAL COST IS $4600 WITH 10% DOWN. NICE PEOPLE OUT THERE, GOOD LUCK.

I am considering having the procedure done in San Mateo, CA. Any one that is happy w/ the results? Is it worth it? Now after reading all these comments I am skeptical. I understand they just opened in April of 2007. Can I get some feedback please?

I saw Dr. Chan in San Mateo. He is kind and sensitive. Ask to see your doctor's before and after.Dr. Chan showed me his and they are good.

terra How long after your consultation (I have one on April 11) do you have to wait for the surgery? (San Mateo, Dr. Chen is who I am asking to do the surgery. On the video that one lady has of her after surgery, she looked pretty banged up. She had an eye lift as well. I didn't realize they could do that too. Any information you can give me is greatly appreciated! Are you entirely happy with yours? Thanks, Lorie

Hello Lorie, I had the Lift last Sept. (I'm 60), in San Mateo and I also had my eyes done. The discomfort was less than I expected, only took pain meds. for two days. The bruising lasted quite awhile but I covered it with makeup. The video mirrored my experience almost exactly. The results were excellent & I was ecstatic. However, it is now only 6 months later and I'm starting to see significant sagging already so I would have serious doubts about spending the money for such short term results. I feel the material is quite misleading. Best, Lia

Hi Lia, Did you have the cords worked on under the chin? You'd see a small scar.I'm told the results last well if this is done.Who was your doctor?

I went to San Mateo for the initial consultation 2 years ago. After driving 1 1/2 hours, the front office staff said I didn't have an appt, (WRONG) but they'd fit me in. After waiting almost 2 hours, they took me to a room and showed me the same video we've all seen on TV. No one came into the room, and after about 10 mins., all the lights went out. Someone soon came in and asked why I was sitting in the dark (duh) and I said I was leaving. She then tried to get me to stay and said someone would come into talk to me right away. I said I needed to talk to a doctor since I'd recently had surgery requiring antibiotics and wanted to know if this was advisable. She then said I'd have to talk to a doctor and that would cost 10% of the procedure cost or $500-just to find out if I was a candidate. I left and called the main office, who were "very apologetic" but didn't offer any real assistance. If this is how poorly they handle their initial "visit," I decided against letting them work on my face.
