Anyone had rib graft removed from bridge and tip?

I am doing all the research I can and going to consultation to understand how and when I can undo or try to reverse my Asian rhinoplasty. It's been a terrible mistake and now I am trying to do some damage control. Did any of you evert had it done and how didnit work out? I am not trying to make my nose worst tha it is, but I am sure I want to look like me again! This is just too drastic and I did not sign up for it. In additionally, have anyone been impacted so emotionally and devastated by the result?

My surgery was not in NYC, when you get everything out your nose will be flexible again. I had everything removed 1.5 years ago.

Hi Jessica , I think I'll be going back to OR in another month or 2 .... May I ask once you removed your rib implant and tip... Did your nose looked the same? Did your surgeon shave your bone or anything with your primary rhino? I am nervous as I don't want to look worse than now! Thx and happy new year!

Did you get all of your grafts removed? How did everything turn out?

Well, he said he can't promise but will monitor as we go. I am doing evreything possible to heal and be ready. However he did say, its very aggressive to operatevat 3 months. I seriously don't know how to deal with waiting 4.5 more months! I think my rib cartilage is crooked toward left... 3 other doctor agreed but my surgeon said it's not! I see it in my photos so I don't know why he is in denial. I didn't want to argue with him since I want it remove it at the end of the day.
If I may ask... Is your doctor in NYC?
How is your nose now? How long has it been since you remove it? Your nose back to flexible?

If they let you remove everything at 3 months, that's great. Trust me, I would have preferred that over 6 months, but my doctor refused to remove the grafts until I was 6 months post-op, so I had to wait. I had to get everything out b/c all of the grafts warped. Did your doctor agree to remove everything at 3 months?

I did, they made me wait 6 months before removing everything though.

Here's what some doctors have to say about removing rib grafts. Not surprisingly, they believe most people should wait for a while before having them removed.
