How much can I expect the tip of my nose to shrink?

How much can I expect the tip of my nose to shrink?

Hi there, I had rhinoplasty 3 weeks ago and the tip I find way to big and round. I am happy with the bridge but the tip is way bigger than it was before! It looks goofy.

I am wondering how much I can expect it to shrink? Also is there anything else I can do to help it shrink faster? Taping? And how would I tape it? Thanks for your advice.

Hi suzy q, Definitely discuss your concerns with your rhinoplasty surgeon. Your surgeon is the only person who should advise you on how to tape your nose, if at all. The tip of the nose always takes the longest for swelling to resolve. Some surgeons will inject a small dose of Kenalog (steroid) to help with swelling. In the meantime, it is best to be patient, with time your tip will look better and better. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

Hello, I am 3 weeks PO now, I am not that upset about my nose as much as i was. I just have a question: will my tip get smaller? if it does then my projection will decrease right? Has anyone had an experience where it got smaller? Helppp!

Hey! I am the one in the picture and it has been almost a month and a half and it has gotten considerably better. The swelling in the tip went WAY down and the projection went down... I really like the results now but I was really scared at about week 3. The wait is what kills! I hope this helps.

I have had a rhinoplasty, one month ago and have lots of swelling. I have also thick skin. Did your profile really change a lot..since it was a year almost that you posted this question???
