My rhinoplasty is scheduled for July 27th. I am so very excited as I have been wanting to do this for the past 20 years. I am absolutely confident that the doctor I chose will do a great job. To be honest I just want to get it over with and start the healing process. I just can't wait to see the results.

My Rhino is booked for August 17th. Everyday I get a little more excited and anxious. Like Panda, i'm ready to be healing and be done with the surgery. :) Good thoughts to all.

Not much longer now, wanderlust! And panda, how are you feeling?

I'm quite swollen but not in any real pain. I would like to thank I'm healing quite nicely. I will be going back to work Monday and I get my splint removed Tuesday.

I am scheduled for Aug 9 with Dr Dayan in Chicago...a little nervous but mostly excited, just hoping he does a great job. I will post a day before surgery and after as well. Is it just me, or is having surgery occupying your mind like 24/7??

Yes TSL, I can't make my mind stop thinking about it. Hopefully the waiting will be the hardest part. :)

August 4th (2 DAYS!!) I will be going for my septorhinoplasty. I live in Canada and surgery costs were a whopping $10,000 for a ear/nose/throat specialist with a strong cosmetic background, but I am very excited! I'm currently taking Arnica 200ch, an herbal remedy used to help reduce swelling and bruising before it begins, has anyone else tried this? I've been wanting this since before highschool (I am now 23)but I am very nervouse about the anesthesia, I'm happy I found this site to hear about other experiences though!

I used Arnica prior to and after my revision on 7/20 with Dr. Silver here in Atlanta-I bruised very little~ I also had a facial after my splint was removed for lymphatic drainage- Needless to say I am beyond happy!! Good luck to you :)

Thankyou so much. Recovering right now, there is bruising, but I imagine it would of been much worse without the use of Arnica. I had my surgery on the 4th and my surgeon wants to remove the splint on Monday- that's the 8th. Does this seem like its a little soon?

I had my splint on for 5 days~ Had surgery on a Wed., splint removed on Monday~ 5 days is pretty typical~ Just to go ahead and let you know that when they take the splint off you will be very swollen-You may not see very much definition in your tip~ Your nose will not even feel like a nose~ Most likely it will feel like some foreign object has been attached to your face :)That will change, too~DO NOT panic!! This is so normal~ I've had my splint off 2 weeks tomorrow & my swelling has been decreasing everyday~ Yours will, too~ Can't wait to hear what you think!!
