Can I reverse the fat grafting done to my cheeks?

By 2109anon on 05 Apr 2010

I had a rhinoplasty and fat transfer to my cheeks done at the same time, 3 weeks ago. I hate the results!! The fat grafting has obscured the natural contours of my face. I used to have very defined bone structure and now it is hidden behind the fat. I hate the results, especially how far up the fat was placed. How can I reverse this?

I would wait p to 6 months. Most of the fat transferred into the face or cheeks will be resorbed by 6 weeks. You will ultimately end up with about a 30% correction. Most of the swelling will be gone by 6 months. At that time, if you do not like what you see, you should discuss it with your surgeon. There are a number of options.

you can try compression with a soft tool, fat cannot stand de-vascularization !
