I know when it comes to having plastic surgery abroad safety is a big concern for most, even if the cosmetic surgeons are known to be the best in the world. So at first I went to surgeon here at Colorado, but they quoted me $15,000.00 to do a face and neck lift, and I know I couldn't afford it, that's why I opt doing it in Mexico. I got on the internet and found PlacidWay, one of the reputable medical tourism company who guides and organise patients on their flights, accommodation and appointment. They even provide me advices on hospitals/clinics regarding their success rates and complications for treatment which is very nice. I stayed at the Recovery Boutique for 3 days, the people were so nice, people had so many experience with caring for cosmetic surgery patients. And so far I am very happy with my treatment in Mexico.

I don't think some of these comments are from real people who have gone abroad for plastic surgery. I think they are representatives from these companies posing as such.

What made you think that my story is fake? Do you have proof Kristy? If you don't believe my story, then just ignore it. I don't believe any of your story either, just like your fake profile pic. :)

I didn't mean you. I meant to reply to the whole thread rather than u. No need to be like that! That is me in my picture.

Your talking about my picture when u don't have one! Where is your proof that I've used a fake photo? I find it amusing when people accuse me of that.

Hi I am going to turkey on the 7th may to have breast enlargement and lift and also lipo and maybe upper and lower eyelid surgery I have done a lot of research and the surgeon that is doing my surgery has done his training in the usa and they use mentor implants which are from the states not the eu and they are one of the top implants to use, I had breast mplants here in the uk over 10 yrs ago and to be honest I was never happy with them from day 1 but everytime I went back to the surgeon he kept telling me that it was still early days early days after 4 yrs yeah right then he tried telling me that if I have them out and new ones in I would have to pay for his surgery and hospital and implants as there was nothing wrong with the implants I am a single parent of 3 and did not have the money so I have had to suffer and it really did knock my confidence back even more than it did bfore I had the operation so my point is even here in the uk you are not guaranteed satisfaction and I used the Nuffield here in the uk. I am going through longevita and the surgeon is fuat yusef has anyone used longevita??

Hi Shar1985 I used Dr Bugra in 2013 as a friend of mine had used him the year before. He answered all of my pre operation concerns so that I was very relaxed going in for the surgery. The discomfort after the operation was not as bad as I had feared and I am so pleased with results. The whole team at Cosmetic Surgery were very helpful and I did quite a bit of price comparison across Europe and think I got a very good deal. Best wishes Hils

Brazil is reference when talking about plastic surgery! I've done with an excellent plastic surgeon in southern Brazil named Dr. Kaisa Justo, just google her and send her your questions. To me she is like "Michelangelo on skirts"..

Wow , I have heard so much good great things about plastic surgery in Brazil. Do you have any before and after pictures you don't mind sharing?

Everything I've done with Dr. Kaisa Justo was in my face that's why I don't feel so comfortable showing off. I had a Rhinoplasty about ten years ago and she did that kind of cosmetic surgery nobody can tell you have work done, if you know what I mean...so natural (I didn't like my nose although it was not "ugly"). In 2012 I had a blepharoplasty (eye lid surgery) on my droopy eyelids, and finaly last year it was time to my face and neck lift. In case you're wondering...I'm 47 years old. Now, it will be time for my tummy tuck, probably in two or three months. Everything went always so well with Dr. Kaisa, she is really devoted to accomplish what patients want/need. I hope I have helped you somehow, sorry for not sharing photos, let me know if there is other way to assist your doubts.

I went to Adam Kalecinski in Poland a year ago for tightening of the lower face/jawline and i looked exactly as i did before, with no improvement whatsoever ,and 2 of my friends also went to him and had no improvement at all. A total waste of money, and i should point out that his co-ordinators will slam you for complaining ,so expect no confidentiality at all.

Please whatever you do,do not use doctor Hassan in Dubai. Spent over $7,000 on vaser liposuction on my arms, stomach and back and didn't see a difference at all. It was a complete waste of money. Now I'm hoping to go do it all over again in Brazil. Can anyone recommend a superb surgeon in Brazil? Rio or Sao Paolo

over-the-top surgeon in Brazil: Dr. KaĆsa Justo, browse her website or go over her facebook page (Dra Kaisa Justo), ask questions, and ask to take a look at her before&after pictures (national regulation does not allow those pictures at a doctor's website

To all looking at surgery abroad...One thing you must consider is after care. Make sure you have a support system set up back in your home country/town for follow up past the inital 10 days. I say this from experience...post op once I was home had an incision infection and a seroma. It is very stressful and hard to find a doctor to take care of it, as they are not familiar with your case. I had to work hard to find aftercare for my needs, and it added to my fear and frustration. I am not saying, don't go abroad,I am saying, make sure you have docs ready to care for you...wound care and checks, release to work, etc... while the foreign doc can provide you with self care follow up guidelines, with them not seeing you and talking to you, they won't be able to personalize your aftercare. They say go backto work week 2 after a tummy tuck, but truly your body was not ready to go back until 4 weeks out, and you injure yourself following cookie cutter post op directions. For example, I am now anemic and my wound healing stalled in a spot! I do not fall under the cookie cutter and I was given no direction on what to do for this case or the seroma (fluid filled gap) i developed. I am 6 weeks out and still very much in the healing phase and in need of significant after care getting manual drains on seroma and wound care at a clinic. Just be prepared in case you do need help after. the two complications I had are high probability of getting. Best wishes, and do your homework and set up home support for abroad surgeries.
