Is it ok to remove tattoo in later age(35+) and can tattoo removal have bad health effects? Can removal have the effects on the immune system? Can it cause problems with lymph node and sort of cancer and blood problems?    Thank you

I am treating over a dozen people in their 40's and 50's, some in their 60's even. Like any elective procedure, there are risks, but they are minimal. Tattoo removal will effect your immune system, the same if you fall and get brush burn on your knees and elbows. Aside from that, there aren't too many concerns, provided you're healthy.

I'm 44 and am having a 25 year old tattoo removed with lasers. I don't think your age has anything to do with removal as long as you're in good health.

A very similar forum was posted about this time last year. You will see there hasn't been much activity on it. I would hope that would mean its because there haven't been many adverse health issues, but of course we can't know that to be the case for certain.

Has Anyone Experienced Adverse Health Issues?
