Recovering MARCH Tummy Tuckers!

Thought I would start another thread for recovery questions and comments. Here goes the first one... How long have you had your drains or how long did you have them? I am 10 days out and still have both. NOT happy about that. Think that I am doing too much, but LIFE goes on. Was supposed to get 1 out tomorrow but drainage jumped back up to 40 today. YUCK!! Hope everyone is recovering nicely and if you have any questions or comments POST THEM HERE!!

Wow I am going for my revision tomorrow! Also breast lift and fat put on my butt! Good healing Beaks! Say a prayer for me.

So I had my tummy tuck revision done on March 7th, 3 days out and I'm feeling great, with the exemption of being so sore from the lipo. I was only able to take Percocet for the first day :( I could have used it a few more days but it makes me so irritable and anger quickly. I had quite a bit of lipo done, my love handles, and entire abdomen and back. My PS took off quite a bit of extra skin and had to sit me up slightly to close the incision so I should be nice and tight this time around. I'm certainly not looking forward to all the swelling butim sure it will be worth it in the end.

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TODAY!!! Not sure about the rest of you fellow March Tuckers, but I can't believe it's already been one year! Love my flat belly! I don't swell any more which is nice and I work out faithfully 5 days a week (weights, yoga and lots of running). Very pleased with my results. I updated my profile/review and added a couple "celebratory anniversary" pics. Hope all of you ladies are doing well!

Oh beaks.1 good luck to you. I too am having full revision of muscle plication. It came undone. PRAYING it stays this go around, I will be doing NO activity for 12 full weeks to ensure it holds! Changing surgeons too so financially it's hard but I'm much more confident in this new guy. Good luck to you!

so im almost at my 1 year (March 3rd), and on March 7th im going back in for my TT revision. My PS is going to do abdominal/side lipo and take a little more skin off. All he is asking is that I pay for anesthesia. I am happpy that hes sees my concers and is willing to redo the work, but here goes another year of swell hell. I will keep you ladies updated :)

I got lipo at the time oc the tummy tuck... But nothing since. Maybe if I deside to do breast Surgery ill get it fixed. I just hate this swelling.... I think its how I eat tho.

Hello march ladies..almost a year can u believe it.. Is anyone else having swelling like me??im not happy with my sides but im not sure if ill go get them fix or not... Addional Surgery worries me...

I am having the dog ears fixed, also the scar revised. I do have some swelling still, but I also know some of mine may be how I eat. Can't wait to see your annaversary pictures!

So glad to hear that, thank you for sharing. Did you have to pay more $? I am looking at an add'l $5K to use the other guy but I have much more confidence in him at this point. Long story but my current ps has never admitted any wrongdoing and I don't feel like I can pay him for what he should have done the first time you know? You may have gone through the same thing. No one knows why it came undone (technical thing or just my body) but the sides were definitely neglected and he just failed to do it and will not admit it. So frustrating. Thanks for the input. I haven't scheduled anything either way but hoping for April, 11 months later. Not really wanting to go through that recovery again but at least I know what to expect :)

My first ps admitted that there was some issues and he gladly fixed them while I was under doing the body lift. He didn't charge me and I really feel like he didn't add to the other costs to get his back. My PS is a real perfectionist and I am sure that he knew there were mistakes and didn't want the bad reputation. He works in a major university town, University of Illinois, and doesn't want a "bad" name. So yes, I paid again, but only for the added work. I would of went with one of the other opinions, but they were toooo expensive. They wanted money to fix his errors and wanted money for the body lift, which was expected. So we opted to stick with the first PS, but I am happy with the results this time.

Saving money for a re do, my stitches came undone at 8 weeks and I'm left with a bulging midsection again :( Surgeon wants to attempt to fix for $2200, other guy wants $8K (2nd opinion) to redo it hopefully for good. He also didn't do my hips so I have these weird balls of fat on my sides. Will definitely get that fixed, he wants $1200 to do that even though he clearly forgot it the first time (I got a copy of the report). Says he's only charging for opertation time. Not giving him any more of my money, I already paid him to do that once!!! Needless to say it's been a long journey for me. I'm feeling pregnant once again. Only plus has been the hangover skin is gone. Wasn't worth the $8000+ that I spent though only to have to spend it again to get it done right.
Glad to see you most of you are doing well and happy with your results! I hope to be there one day soon!

Tag....let me tell you that I struggled with my own issues and having the same ps do the additional work. I had two other ps's opinion and ended going with my same ps simply because he was cheaper. After all, he was fixing what he didn't get right the first time. I was so frustrated with my tt results, but I am pleased with the new results. I hated going under again and the recovery, but 5 months later it was worth it. good luck

My tummy has seemed to get loose even though I haven't gained any weight :( I'm going to my PS on Monday for a revision consult. Dr said he will do it free of charge and I just have to pay OR fees. Here I go again!

I have to laugh because I didn't know this thread was still going. Man ladies, it seems like forever ago we were all talking,complaining ect about swelling and such. Now we are all almost a year into recovery. I went back in Sept. and had a complete body lift,I just wasn't happy with the tt alone. I am pleased as punch with it all now. I am working out and trying to eat better. The holidays real does a number on us all. Man, a year ago we were all scared and excited about the process and recovery and now it seems like a old memory. Hope all is well with you ladies.

Well after the holidays I felt the same way! But I started eating better and exercising again. I feel much better and lost a few pounds! Thinking about getting a breast lift now.

Been too long ladies! I have to say that in the last few weeks I have felt like such a butterball! I don't know what is going on. I really need to start running again. My legs after surgery have doubled in size I swear. My tummy is still flat, but it feels like the rolls are coming back. I don't know how to not feel this way. I hope everyone is doing well. Enough of my pity-party...

Well doing great at ten months post op. Started a new workout by beachbodies Brazilian butt lift. Trying to get lean for the upcomming summer. Couldnt really do to much last spring. Hows everyone else out there?

I am an April tt'er. I miss all the March/April ladies! I am doing great! Love my new tummy! Just hate the scar but patience...Anyway, November - early January I must have put on 5 or more pounds with all that holiday eating. I looked so puffy & gross! The past 3 weeks I went back to my healthy eating & keep on exercising & my nice flat tummy is back! I do Jackie Warner videos. She is great - She has a 15 minute ab video & what is nice is that she includes legs & butt in it! I love that! I also am doing yoga & pilates. I have to try Beachbodies Brazilian butt life. Sounds great!

Ok ladies....am I the only one that thinks that there was less time spent lipo'g the upper abs? I literally can tighten my ab muscles and still see a section below the breast and above the bb that is flabby. I know I am tight so it has to be fat that he missed or just couldn't get that high with the lipo. Any thoughts? It is almost like a shelf of fat. I am flat from incision up to this point and then there is a sort of "hump" If you were to run your hand up my stomach it would be flat then the hump. hmmmm...revisions? Ya think?

I am scheduled feb 13 for a revision consult, my tummy had gotten loose even though I have not gained weight and I have a hump just above my belly button. ask for a revision for sure.
