I'm not sure where to start my search--obviously a board certified doc who's done many rhinoplasties but I dont know how to narrow my list. I want someone who can fix an inverted V deformity/nasal valve collapse from prior surgery that led to breathing obstruction. but I also want a more acute nasofrontal angle and have the dorsum augmented to be slightly convex so as to preserve my ethnic features (middle eastern). i'm willing to travel for 5-6 consults but not sure where to start.

I have having a hard time finding an expert in ethnic rhinoplasty. I could've found a list of doctors in Cleveland on my own. I'm just not sure if any doctors in my area are experienced in middle eastern rhinoplasty. I just dont know how to go about it. I guess after my initial surgery I just want to make sure I do things right this time. I met with my original doctor once before surgery and explained my goals clearly about how I wanted very conservative reduction of the hump and preserving my ethnic features. He kept saying over and over that he understood what I wanted. Now I'm left with an overresected nose with an inverted V deformity and collapse on right side. That is not what I wanted at all. However he claimed to have been very experienced having done thousands of rhinoplasties. Now I want to take my time and find a good doctor but I'm not sure who to go to. What questions are important to ask the doctor? Is it ok to meet with the doctor 3-4 times before surgery to feel comfortable? Should I request for computer imaging?
