Looking for a Board Certified Plastic
Surgeon with experience removing ruptured silicone implants.I am 54 yrs old. My first set of silicone implants at age 27
were placed over the muscle. After 7
years, capsular contracture and bottoming-out lead me to seek a revision. My current Mentor 250cc silicone implants are 18 years old and under
the muscle. I believe I have scar tissue from the capsules
adhering to my chest wall. It is like a
broken ring of ridged tissue around the breast. After noticing left breast swelling and discomfort recently,
I sought a mammogram and breast ultrasound.
Both implants are ruptured. They
were intact at my last mammogram 8 months ago. I want to have the implants removed to
avoid future surgeries. I would like a
surgeon who is very thorough and technically adept. I had VERY little breast
tissue prior to augmentation. Most
concerned about a “smooth” outcome. Thank you!
