I have now read all 301 reviews for tattoo removal on here. I got a tattoo about a year ago (my 2nd, first one I love and not looking to remove) on my forearm about halfway down. I like the design but hated the location (MISTAKE). Thinking that it just looked odd on my small, lanky arms (I'm not a huge dude), about four months ago during the winter I added some stuff around it to bring the design up to my "ditch", where my elbow area is. I regret this tattoo heavily on some days. I actually love the design and what it stands for, so you can chalk me up for "location regret". But on some days I hate it. Depression sets in sometimes. I am not depressed enough to wear long sleeves in the summer though, I wear it outside when shopping, etc, and wear short sleeves. So it depresses me a lot on some days, but I'm trying to wear it out exposed to force myself used to it. I have been debating whether to start removal (There is a Picosure clinic near me in Toronto) or learn to live with it and cherish it. After reading the reviews on here, it seems that people (out of these 301 anyway), don't really wait long before starting removal. Many of the posts I read start removal after just weeks after getting it, and some post about removal only a few days after getting it! Is it possible that had some of these removers given it some more time, they may have learned to tolerate the tattoo to the point where they can live with it? The removal process looks so awful, and I love the person I dedicated it to deeply, so I would REALLY REALLY prefer to learn to love it instead of removal (Note, its not a picture, no names!). I guess my question is, how much thought or time did you wait until you decided you surely were going to remove your tattoo?
