Question for Those with C-sections and TT

My c section was much more painful than my full TT. None of that burning sensation this time. I would say this is more of general, discomfort, boredom, and back pain from hunching over. Just need patience, stay calm, and keep busy reading, etc. good luck - i am only 2 days post op.

For me, my C-Section was definitely harder and a lot more painful. I, however, went through 2 surgeries in one day the day I had my son because i had complications. Everyone is different, though, just keep a positive attitude and you'll get through anything! :)

TT was easier than c section....and I was surprised. My sister explained it to me this way, c section they cut thru skin, muscle, tissue and uterus. but with TT its skin and then tightenng the tummy muscles not cutting them. I've personally had less pain. The only neg part is the pain in my lower back from being hunched over and my butt is starting to hurt from sitting so much and no being able to lay on my side and/or back yet.

Oh man... my section was sooo easy. My family and I drove 9 hours to visit my in-laws 3w post section. :/ Thinking that the TT is going to be muuuch harder.

Hate to break it to you, but the TT recovery has been far more difficult than the c-section (granted I am also 20 years older!) C-section was more about being sore down low and tenderness at the surgical site, plus I think I was in the hospital on a pain pump for 4 days. TT has been so physically debilitating...once home, I really couldn't move on my own and was so very limited. I can't imagine how I could care for an infant feeling that way, but I don't remember it being particularly hard after the c-section.

Week one is hard, hard, hard. You are sore on the inside, have discomfort from the super tight skin on your tummy and sides, then your back aches from hunching over, and the compression garment is it's own form of hell. I hate mine. Week two gets better every day, and at the two week mark today I am pretty much pain free and mobile. I still have very low stamina: the grocery store seems massive and exhausting, and for some reason I cannot walk faster than a snails pace, which is frustrating.

But here's the catch: Just like having that baby in your arms makes the c-section all worth it, looking at your new, lovely tummy makes all of the above worth it too, even as you experience the worst of the post-op symptoms. You will be giddy when you see how great you look, and as days go by and swelling goes down, it just keeps getting better!!
