Anyone have tummy tuck done at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary--the teaching Hospital in NYC?

Hello Everyone, I have been leerking around for quite some time, reading about tt, i am presently schedule for a consultation on 2/27/2012..I would like to know if anyone had their procedure done at this hospital in NYC ( New York Eye & Ear Infirmary--the teaching Hospital in NYC) it's located at 310 east 14th street. I have read about lenox hill and Jacobi hospitals, and have been reading so much about all of your journeys towards tt...Good Luck to those schedule this month, and speedy recovery to the one that is going through the post op! These consultation fees at this places are ridiculous. Jacobi Hospital wants $195 (not applied to the cost of the surgery), Harlem Hospital wants $375 (not applied to the cost of the surgery) and Mt. Sinai Hospital consultation fee is $300 (and again not applied to the cost of the surgery).

Has anyone had a tt and lipo done at any of these places? If so, how was the consultation process and how long did it take to scheduled for your procedure?

I had surgery in NYEE 9/14/12 tummy tuck n lipo of flanks Dr. Xipoleas and Dr. Perkins. Im two days post op and so far so good. My hospital experience was great the nurses were caring and attentive both doctors were wonderful. I paid 4494. plus 75 consultation and thats all. Doctor took his own pics and he gave me two binders any questions dont hesitate to ask me.

yes $4494 included hospital stay in NYEE at 14th st plus dont forget the $75 consultation fee

@Beth1976 Will I see Dr. Xipoleas again before my surgery? I ask this because I just remembered that the receptionist didn't schedule another appointment with me to see him before my surgery date.

Hi yea I saw him week before to get prescriptions for antibiotics and painkillers. Also just to tak a little more. He is so open to see him whenever u want!!

Hi I am new to the forum and am just reading this today. I went to a private plastic surgeon who quoted me a price of $11,000 for a tt. Needless to say I left feeling pretty sad. I was told by a friend to consider nyee but she didn't know anyone who actually done their surgery here. My question to you is are you still happy with your results? And if so which office do I call to make arraignments for a consult. I am looking to do it first week in April . Thank you.

I believe that they are a part of Lenox hill I had my breast consult there. My co worker had a face lift and tummy tuck. It came out beautiful. I had my TT in 2008 in Jacobi. Best thing I ever did in my life!

Oh my tummy tuck was at Jacobi and it came out better than people who spent thousands of dollars !

@Gaildibernardo No worries I decided to go with NYEE, didn't want to pay the consult fee for Jacobi. My tt and lipo date is January 9th

He is currently in NYEE. I went to Lennox Hill in April but since I weighed 170 lbs
{5'feet 3inches} PS did not want to operate. When I returned in beginning of August I had lost 10 lbs but new fellow wanted me to maintain that weight for six months. So I gave up on lennox hill n went to NYEE. Dr. X scheduled my surgery for Sept 10 and Im trying my best to prepare myself!!! Where is Dr. Francis? Were u satisfied with the decision to do surgery in NYEE? {before ur cancellation} Was it part of the teaching or private clinic? Thank u for taking ur time n answering questions!!!!

Hey beth..Dr. Francis is in manhattan on the east side (72nd st)...Yes i was very satisfied with doing my surgery with dr.perkins at nyee..it is a wonderful hospital..my girlfriend actually had a BBL done there and she loves it...it was in the teaching clinic..good luck

Hi lala my surgery price was 4494. and 75 consult fee that is all I paid . my preop, prescriptions were all paid by my insurance. He took his own pics. I also received two binders for the first compression garment. I have my first preop on friday 9/20. He did perform lipo of flanks but he did not want to be agressive with lipo because he did not want to compromise my recovery. He is a great doctor I also went to Lennox Hill and saw Dr. Chu but Im very happy with my choice with NYEE. Dont hesitate to ask anything I will help. God Bless

How would you rate their customer service? did you feel like you were treated well or rushed? Does NYEE allow you to consult with multiple doctors without paying an extra $75 fee?

I have an appt with Lenox Hill for next month for a BA but I am not pleased that they charge an extra $175 for photos...I don't understand it.

I called NYEE to set up an appoint (before I called lenox hill) but the receptionist was rude and I was bounced around from extension to extension and was never able to schedule my appointment :(

well I really only dealt with the office maybe three times. first to set up consult. second to fax doctor all my clearance information and third to reschedule my surgery. all times I was transferred straight to dr. xipoleas. I really liked the way I was treated. Nyee fellowship program is little nothing like Lennox Hill. Its one little office with only dr. x who will be there for one year and Lennox hill has several fellows who are there for a rotating three month period.
