-I got Tylenol PM because sleeping was impossible.
Could not sleep without them or that travel pillow.
-I had a rubber yoga strap on hand and pins for showering with the drains.
-I bought 'Wisps' for brushing when you just don't feel like getting up to do it and they are awesome.
-Plenty of books, iPod, laptop and movies.
-Pillows Pillows and More Pillows! Even when I thought I had enough I ended up taking all the couch and chair pillows too.
-Lastly,Relax! You will be fine. I don't know about the walker though, I was moving, slowly mind you, by myself right after surgery and haven't needed any help ever since. I am very fortunate, my MIL came for three weeks and and is handling all the household stuff. I did pick out some of my recipes and made sure I had the ingredients for her before surgery.

Walgreens carries the reacher pick up- reach tool (online under as seen on tv). It makes picking up things on the floor so easy (as you know, you will not be able to bend down) This was my favortie tool during my recovery! Good luck on your surgery!!!

OH! and Bath and Body works bath gel! It smells really good when you can only do a sponge bath so you feel more refreshed at least. And as far as the panties...It was easier on me to go commando than get panties over the tubes taped to my legs

I agree..commando was much easier.

I found a granny walker on craigslist and it helps get up and down and walk when you're woozy. Ready to drink protein drinks for when you don't a full meal but need something to eat with the meds. Pill organizer and chart to write out times for each medication. I have 5 meds and each are different time limits. Granny grabber thing has also been a life saver to reach things on the floor. I keep all the bottles of meds in an easter basket and reach the handle with the grabber if I need them. Good luck girl! You'll do great!

I think your all set, mama! I went nuts getting things and didnt even use half of it! The few things I couldnt have been without was hand sanitizer, my travel pillow for when I was sleeping in the recliner my neck was killing me until I that light blub went off and I also got a "Bed-Rest Pillow" for when I started sleeping in bed. I will say the shower chair is gonna be great... its the one thing I wish I did have. I have a feeling that you will be very happy you got that. I will tell you, I had such a hard time eating because I was so dry from the anesthesia for 2-3 days... it was very odd so, Protien Shakes were my savior. But, other than that I think you will find you have more then enough! Good luck to you!

Arnica gel for bruising and topical pain relief is really good and soothing. Lots of water with straws.

Thanks forgot about straws :)
