I had a tummy tuck and liposuction performed 3 weeks ago and I love the results, except for my pubic area, it is puffy,swollen and hard. My dr. tells me that this if because of the liposuction done in that area and to massage it and apply warm compresses so that it won't heal up this way. It's being mentioned here that lipo may be helpful to correct this if after time the appearance doesn't change, but this is what got me where I'm at to begin with or is it not?

If liposuction on that area done you will be improve with time.If not improve sufficiently you will need more liposuction but only after a long time one year after surgery

I had surgery with similar results to yours!!!The area is elevated and very hard 3 weeks post op. It feels like a very hard subcutaneous tissue with no pain, except an elevation as prominent as pre op. Could you post an update to the state of your pubic mons, and does anyone else experienced the same developments with such surgery, and if so how long did it last (the hard elevated painless pubic mons)?

my pubic mons not changed since my op i still find that it is raised but it is not painful , ive spoken to a friend who also had the same op and she said that her pubic area has been raised to but not painfyl at all.

even tho my pubic mons still raised slighty it is not hard the area itself is still soft as before , try sum gentle massage as it helps swelling to go down ,or it could b scar tissue which takes a bit of time to heal.

You have to decide that for yourself, if you are mentally and physically ready for it then go for it but just make sure you are you doing it for you! What is making you not so sure?

had my tummy tuck nearly 7 weeks ago and above my incision line my stomach is stil badly swollen and puffy it looks a sif my tummy will never be flat the way you see on the pictures in here

protruding pubic mons, sticks out more then my belly. Looks like a bulge in clothes and high tunny tuck scar where hair line is above underware line. Tummy feels really tight and I feel a pulling in pubic area when arching back. I also feel that my beely button is to high. its above illiac crest mark.... Is the skin pulled to tight? Can this protrusin be fixed? Can scar and bb be lowered? Thanks

I had my tummy tuck with hip lipo 3 weeks ago and am depressed by the result. I just was able to stand up yesterday. My incision is uneven and too much skin was taken. My incision was suppose to allow me to wear a bikini but still cannot as it is 2 inches below bb.My pubis comes to the incision and my labia are pulled very high and it is uncomfortable. please help, can this maybe be corrected with tissue expanders?

Hi, I had a T/T done March 2008. My mons pubis has also been pulled to high and my pubic hair nearly goes form hip to hip. I too have trouble when I stretch upright it pulles everything up. I cannot get answers from anyone not even my Surgeon, as she says its fine and to live with it. I am sorry for your pain but I do understand how you feel and hope someone can answer our questions.

I am 15 days post op from my tummy tuck and in the past 2 days have noticed increased swelling in the area directly below the incision an in the pubic area. I have much discomfort there. This was NOT here until 2 days ago. Is this seroma or just the fluid travelling downward? Is this normal or does my surgeon need to remove it?

I had a tummy tuck and breast lift 2 weeks ago. My tt scars(scabs)are purple in color, in some areas the scabs have fallen off. Is this color normal? Also, I still have some hard swelling underneath my armpit area from the breast lift, they don't look as round as I thought they would by now, it's sort of a rounded square shape at the bottom of my breast. Also, one breast is slightly higher than the other, is this normal? I am going in for my check up in 3 days, but this is driving me crazy worrying about it. Thanks in advance.

hi i had a tumy tuck 20 wks ago i dont have an even scar its longer to one hip than the other and the scar has healed good even though a hole has appeared twice opening up since surgery . but my problem is that since my support bandage has come off my belly has seemed to droop and sag and on my tummy i now have bad scabs that weep all the time and have been left with bad burning sensation that dosent go away im still wearing inadine patches now which havent worked. can any one help me please as im constantly in pain all the time .and i have now been left with massive fat hanging hips that i didnt have before surgery.

hi i posted sum info on my op a few weeks ago i would like to say that my surgeon sent me to c a dermatologist who diagnosed me wiv a rare ulcer which appeared 7 weeks after surgery they sed it was caused by trauma to the body, my belly button goes to the left and the right side of my belly has a slight bump to it, so my surgeon has told me that wen im healed from my ucler he will do lipo to remove the hips he gave me and redo another tt 4 me .

Just curious for those of you who had a lot of swelling....did your ps lip that area below the scar?? My PS said some women get extra swelling because they dont lipo that area. I told him to lipo away:)

I haven't been yet, but I think my PS doesn't do anything below the incision. I guess I'll find out for sure soon!
