Proslimelt vs. Ultrashape and other noninvasive slimming

Posted 19 Feb 2008

Has anybody tried Proslimelt? It's new in the UAE and i'm just wondering how it compares to other non invasive slimming treatments like ultrashape and meso, and is it fda approved and value for money?

Hey, did you get the proslimelt done? how were the results.. am thinking of trying it. Appreciate feedback before putting in thousands

blindly go ahead with this procedure and you will see the magic. To get the best result, have no carbohydrates for 7 days.

great ,so how frequent are the sessions, is it ok to use it every week? and do you recommend any other machines to be used in between sessions, like vela smooth or tri active dermodynamic

I agree. I offer this treatment in NYC and I have to say the results is incredible but with no carb and low sodium diet for a week helps tremendously.

Hi - I am a surgeon considering buying this machine to offer treatments to patients. I have witnessed some fantastic results but it seems like the results can alter tremendously from patient to patient. Ideally (like us all) I want to get a great result for my patients in the first hour. Are there any practitioners out there who can offer advice on the best way to achieve optimum results? The no carb advice is a great tip...but how about the method of holding and using the handpiece? Power settings, sweep times ect... Your comments greatly appreciated. Dr M

Don't waste your money on Proslimelt! Each session costs AED 2500/ not worth it at all!

The Method seems to be very clever ยจ But the Owner has to work over 1h with his hand on the body . The method say that it will destroy the fat cells ! The problem is - the system makes no lymphatic drainage ! We are the producer of Divinia Ultra a method with a new tested signal (HFT(C) to increase muscles fibres and fibrilles and get more quantity and so more burning rate of calouries in the body. we combined a special Signal of Ultrasound and the stimulation effects of the HFT Technologie from the neuro-meditec AG Switzerland. We have very significant Results! Messuring Bias you can show the fat reduction with the parameters of water , muscle structure and so on. we think its very very dangerous to destroy the fat cells and do not transport them out of the body ! And no stimmulating of muscles - no conturing of the body ! so we say no to this method ! bye UF

I suspect Uwe F. is trying to rubbish his competition by claiming that destroying fat cells is dangerous. This is not true! By releasing the triglycerides the body simply re-absorbs the free fatty acids and processes them in the liver, as normal. There is nothing dangerous at all in this! The liver cannot tell where the fatty acids come from - be it the stomach or the fat cells. Also, much of the appearance of the body surface is caused by the overlying fat tissue. Muscles only contributes to the shape when there is little fat in the way. So, to achieve a desired shape the fat must be removed first, then the muscles must be toned. I have used the Proslimelt and found it to be excellent. My patients love the fact that they can see a result immediately. This result improves over the following few days. I have no doubt that this technology is very good.

have you noticed any burn or irritation in the area treated? \have any of your patients complained of any kind of heat coming from the 2 handles of this machine? one of the handles i am using is overheated, the patient can not withstand it please let me know maysa

I have not noticed any burning or irritation beyond mild erythema which resolves after a short time. If your patient is complaining that the head is so hot then I think there may be a problem with your unit! Contact your distributor or service people to check it. This is not a thermal process so there should never be any build-up of heat within the tissues.

Is it really a waste of money? I was thinking of having it done after a friend of mine saw it demonstrated and thought that it was really good - be interested to hear from anyone who thinks that Proslimelt is a waste of money and whether there is anything better about? Tnx. E

Your comments are biased. I have done over 700 patients on proslimelt and the device has the drainage mode too and you just need to know how to operate. Also its more for clinicians and not just for skin therapists to handle the device.

No, its not a waste of money, definitely not. But the problem is the influence later on on the body. The device distroyes fat cells, and later on the fat is stored differently that our genetic fat distribution in the body, so you might get your body contour changed, as after liposuction (lumps of fat in differant ereas in the body...or grouth of differant areas as arms for example) think about it. in the short run, it is satisfaying but in the long run it might be a problem (read some of the feedback of post-lipo clients its the same: less fat cells in the body and its influence on the contour)

one more question, do you use any kind of mesotherapy in conjuction with treatment with proslimelt, and how frequent do you use the proslimelt itself? is it evey 3 weeks or less?
Reemanita (1 post) 6 Nov 2008
So Stacey...did you try it or not yet?

Has anyone tried proslimelt? Is it good? I've heard about it but don't know if it's readily available in the UK - can anyone help me?
DrRahulMishra (1 post) 3 Apr 2009

Dr. Joy Shah's comments are biased as well, since he's the distributor himself. I suggest trying Narl Lipo. It has been tested in Japan, and is not a product of a marketing company like Promoitalia, which does not have a solid research background.

I recently had it done in Melbourne, Australia and lost 1.5cm off the back of one leg and 1cm off the back of the other. I'm quite fit so don't need to tone the muscle just 'spot reduce' which training and diet can not do. I found it to be wonderful and although not cheap it's worth it if you get results. If you are healthy your body can rid the waste via normal means which is does on a daily. I was advised to limit my food intake and drink lots of water and do some mild exercise after the treatment and the days to follow. It's idea to have treatments in conjuction with a healthy diet and exercise plan which I'm following :O)

The fact is that - over 1000 patients are treated in my clinic on proslimelt. The patients satisfaction index is 92.7% and thats more then doubled then that of ultrashape and other radiofrequency based devices. THe average- reduction after 3 sessions is 7.5cm in the patients having BMI between 30 to 35%. This reduction is not dependent upon the consistancy of fat. It will be same weather it is loose fat or densely situated fat. The Only requirement is availibility of fat. In those patients where BMI is less then 30% the average reduction after 3 session is aproximateely 4cm and above. We have also scored another analytical parameter - that is pinch fold. We gurentee 80% reduction of pinch fold with just 3 sessions - of proslimelt- with a lasting and effect over 36 months with maximum variation of about 5% in measurments. Now let me talk on your device dr.mish, I have used ultrashape also and it is still in my clinic and if you are considering it as a clinical research, then let me tell all the facts that - ultrashape is a marketing gimic and false propogenda. Its mis leading the doctors. LEt people decide what is correct but its a mear fact that - You have to put patient on dieting or modified diet prior to the treatment of ultrashape to acheive the same results. If the technology is generating 3 and 6 cm as claimed falely on the web site, let me tell you that to generate 6 cm on ultrashape is only possible with the dieting prior and during the treatment. THe results are more with the dieting and less with the ultrashape. The actual results at the end of 3 sessions are average 2.75 to 3 cm maximum even in BMI Under 30% and absolutely no results AFTER BMI 32%. It has no effect on diabetic patients and I have full fludge study that is conducted on the same. ALso THe worst part of ultrashape is that they hide the facts. Ther are changes in the cholesterol studies and we can confirm that. Dr.mish, i would also suggest you that we are talking about ultrasounds and not the sonic belts when you are talking about NARL technique. Alao i am serving the company as a medical support and trainings. Why dont we operate the devices to gather and clear each other doubts? I prove my skills and you prove your skills, lets write on this the truth - that we see as an end result of our challange.
