What pre-TT instructions have you gotten?

I am scheduled to have my TT on May 18. I'd like to hear the best pre-TT advice you've gotten that's not on the list of usual things you'd think about, maybe from your surgeon or people you know who have had TTs before. My surgeon's wife said that I should order an electric hospital bed for my downstairs (only $130 for a whole month for a bed that has head and foot raising capabilities) since I don't have a bedroom downstairs and it'll be hard to walk up stairs for awhile. Good, out-of-the-norm advice!
