Hi. I would like to find out the perfect eyebrow and lip color suitable for my Asian complexion. I'm considering having a permanent cosmetic eyebrow tattoo and a lip color tinting as well and I would something that would look most natural, not too pink or red though. Thanks.

Asians have either warm or cool undertones in their skin colors, although the majority tend to be cool. So lips are not the only thing to watch for. Brow colors for cool Asian skins need to look lighter and warmer in the cup because they will heal darker and cooler. If you use too dark or cool a color, it could end up looking very cold black or even bluish when healed. Lip colors also tend to fade a great deal, especially after the first session (full lips will require 2 or 3 visits to complete). Expect them to be bolder looking for a week, or you could end up with a result that looks like you did nothing. Jeff

Hi there. I'm a Permanent Makeup Artist, and I own a company called beautiologist.com. Please know there are many different skin tones in the Asian population as well as all other ethnic groups. Proceed with caution when choosing someone to do your lips. NOT everyone is an ideal candidate for lips and the wrong color mixed with your skin undertones can result in BLUE, PURPLE and even BLACK lips. These are permanent, and nothing but time will fade these colors. As far as your brows, the PMU Artist you choose will help direct you to a flattering tone for your skin. You should work closely to ensure the design is exactly what you want, see it drawn on and also keep a mirror during the procedure. I have a lot of fun with my clients allowing them to peek, and of course comment on what they think! This way you will feel more a part of your PMU and will know the outcome is of your choosing. Don't be talked into anything you don't agree with or cannot see first! Good Luck! And if you're in Florida come and visit! Terri P
