Is permanent eyeliner a good idea?

I am looking into getting permanent eyeliner. I am a runner and a nurse so don't wear makeup everyday or if at all most of the time. I like myself with eye makeup on just dont take the time to put it on and don't really know how. I am wondering if you have any suggestions or comments as to if this is a good choice for me or if my doubts are getting the best of me! Thanks
