Do people realize that in addition to checking ABMS they can check surgeries the doctor's hospital privileges allow dr. to do

I had a doctor perform face lift and lower blepharoplasty with poor results. He was certified by the American Board of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He also performs liposuction, tummy tucks, breast augmentation. I researched the American Board of Medical Specialties and found he only had recognized certification of otolaryngology (ears, nose and throat with surgery to the head and neck). It is confusing because there is so much different information about what constitutes the proper board certifications, but what the hospital privileges allow the doctor to perform is an important way to gear qualifications, especially if a doctor is performing plastic surgery on various parts of the body.
