HI! I am 30 years old and after 3 babies and lapband, I am FINALLY having a tummy tuck in 10 days on October 14th!! I am VERY excited and VERY nervous!! I have been watching everything under the sun about tummy tucks on youtube, and google has probably had a small melt down over me looking up everything I can find out about it! I am worried about the amount of pain I will be in after the surgery. I was given demerol for pain but honestly, I have had that before and it doesn't do anything for me! I am really afraid to ask my surgeon for something different because doctors are so weird about pain medications now. I'm afraid he will just ignore that I have used it before after surgery and it didn't help. How should I approach this issue and what other meds might work for me?

I have a high drug tolerance also when it comes to pain med I just tell them they understand.. And they need to know also it will help them and you they want you to be comfortable after surgery I am sure.

I called my doc today, told them about the demerol not really working before and so they are going to give me dialuadid. I have to bring my demerol with me the day of surgery (sucks, cuz I already got it filled and paid for it!). They said I can't keep it if they are going to give me something else. I hope it will work!

Well? How did you do imworthit! you should be 4 days post op. Inquiring minds want to know.... Hows that beautiful new tummy? I'm having my TT with lipo to the flanks and lower back on Nov 8th. I'll live through your stories until then! :) I pray you are well.

wow ! 10 days post op and still a little under the weather ... all pain meds gone and now tylenol. tummy is looking good and all worth it

I had to have a chemical stress test, which is something I had doubts about. My age is 65 and I am glad my ps is strict about making sure I am in the best of health. My procedure is a full tt, thigh lift, and butt lift. Am I scared?? you bet I am, but I have every confidence it will be ok. I know that my recovery may be longer than say a 35 yr old, and knowing that, I will accept that fact. I'm going on vacation next week for 2 weeks, but I plan on using the workout room at the resort. Of course I will swim and eat properly. I will indulge some alcoholic beverages, but will be careful not to overdo it. I'm having pics taken on the 29th, so I will post them when I return or shortly thereafter. If there are any women out there thinking about getting a similar procedure done, and if you have any concerns about age, give me a shout over here.

Mine was same day. How are you progressing? I am still swollen, sore, still can only sleep on back and not through the night yet. Exercise consist of general moving about and walking approx 30min on treadmill. When I do more than that I pay for it later with extra swelling and quite a bit of soreness that I feel I am setting myself back.

Hi! I am having a full TT and lipo on my thighs and hips on Oct. 5th. I am 40 and have 2 girls. I have been wanting this for 8 years and now I am finally doing it. I am nervous, but more anxious for my pre op appt. To get a lot of my questions answered.

You both are right. We can do it! I got back from my last busines trip for awhile today and feel relieved. Now I can wrap up work tomorrow and try to finally relax tomorrow night. What are you girls going to do to relax?

Hi all
Im 29 & from the uk. Im booked in for a full TT on oct 15th. I've wanted to do this for a very long time and have researched for years, now it's so close it almost doesn't seem real and im feeling really aprehensive. I feel really unprepared and im worring that im not in the right frame of mind for it now.
nyone else feeling like this??
