November Tummy Tuckers

By cwgrlup640 on 29 Sep 2011

Hi my name is Jennifer and I am scheduled for the 17th of Nov.  Very glad I found this site, but have to admit I haven't spent much time away from it since finding it.  So much helful info and add's alot of comfort to know there are so many to ask questions to that have actually went through or are about to go through this wonderful procedure.  I have a few family members that would be having a cow if they knew what I was scheduled for.  I have chosen not to tell them anything as far as they will know I am having a hernia repaired or know nothing at all some things are better off left unsaid in my opinion...

Hi ladies!! I just had my tt 24 hours ago. I'm at home healing and feeling pretty good considering. I am going back to my ps this morning at 9am. Question: I ordered a Cambi chair (recliner that lays back as well as puts me all the up into a standing position). I've been in it ever since I got home but I'm having trouble with my arms and legs going to sleep. I still have the compression garments on my legs from surgery per my ps instructions. Did any of you guys have this problem? Anything you can do beside periodically getting up and trying to move your arms and legs in bed? I'm worried about clots.

What kind of compression garments does anyone recommend?

So, what is the minimum amount of output from a drain before it can get removed? My last one put out 40ccs yesterday and I go to the PS for a follow up tomorrow morning. Hoping to get it out.

Hey girls! What kind of clothes are you all wearing now that we have to wear our binders for a while? I need to buy some new things because most of my clothes are kind of fitted and I need some clothes that could hide the binder good, I've been feeling bulky in anything I put on. Thanks for any input!:)
Yellow Bikini 4 Dec 2011
@Nikki I wear my normal clothes. I layer the top with a tight camisole over the binder. So, far it has worked out well for me. I'm not buying anything yet. Most of my old shirts are loose on me now.
Happy Shoopping!

I'm home!! Lying in "recovery central "
in my guest bedroom. I think the grogginess from anesthesia has mostly worn off. Wasn't as scared as I thought I would be. The Lorazapam helped a lot . Just had some protein shake. I need to pee but nit looking forward to getting up to doit. can tell I'm way flatter already! Yippee! Step one done? Now if I could just get someone to get this Mack truck off of my abdomen, I'll be good

Drink as much water and power aid as you can, you will feel more hydrated after surgery. I'm 2 days post op and feeling pretty good, you will do great!

Posted my pre-op pics. Hoping those panties will be too big for me after this! Heart is beating rapidly now. I bought the Coconut water today. How often and why am I drinking this? I just saw it on the shelf and grabbed it. I also installed a seat lifter onto my toilet since it was so low.

Good thinking on the potty riser I almost need a step stool to get on the potty with being a shorty LOL... I'm not sure why the coconut water is benificial I haven't had any. I have been drinking the pineapple juice but don't really see any differance from when I don't drink it.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow good luck all will be perfect..

coconut water is to keep your body hydrated and to give you energy. The toilet seat lifter is an excellent idea.
