Thank you! I'm really happy with my results. The TT gave me so much confidence, no more shopping for clothes to hide the bulge!

You look great! I didn't even see the dog ears in your past photos. I'm glad your PS took care of them.

I'm having a problem ladies. 6 months out and below my scar (dead center at pubic line) has been infected 3 TIMES sine my tt in DDecember. It's probly been infected this whole time. It still hurts, swells, etc. I'm seeing an infectious disease specialist now. May need revision to clear out infection if this final round of AnTiB ddoesn't clear it up. I can't even think of more pain. I'm done with my original PS who doesn't want to admit anything is wrong with me. Any help or suggestions? Anyone LOVE their surgeon in NYC area? Anyone know revision specialist? I know they are on here but trust u guys more!!

Yeah, they didn't bother me that much, but he brought it up, so why not get rid of them? lol.

I wish I had advice for you........your doctor won't admit to infection when an infec. disease specialist is telling you there is? I hope you get some answers and help!

Hi ladies! It's almost 7 months for me and yesterday was my flattest day ever! I noticed that my belly remained flat even while I was sitting down. I have always had a little puffiness in that area. I do have some fluid in that area, but decided not to have it aspirated. I'm going to let it absorb naturally. I'm so excited though! I'm hoping this was a preview of more flatness to come. I feel like I'm finally turning a corner. The weird thing is that, just last week, I had one of the worst swelling days. Possibly from PMS and working out. Finally started regular workouts two weeks ago. Now I'm wondering if that helped with the flatness I saw yesterday? My body has been going through some mood swings lately. I have PMS symptoms, but am 2 weeks late. I have had mild constipation for 2 weeks and lots of swelling. Had my tubes tied, so I'm not pregnant (even though I dreamt that I was!). I'll post updated pics at my 7 month mark. Hope you're all doing well!

Don't want to scare you but I also had my tubes tied and then 2 years later got pregnant. Take a test if you don't get it soon!!!!

WHAT?!?! LOL. I hope I'm way too old for that! If I get pregnant, after having my tubes tied, at 46...that would be some miracle! Especially after trying for 8 years to get preggo with my last one 7 years ago!

I am at my 6 month mark since my tummy tuck. I just had my 6 month check up. I am going back toward the end of July for IPO laser for my scar which is complimentary. Also, the doctor suggested a revision surgery for me which will be the end of July. I am no longer swelling under my belly button only after working out or at the end of the day. The "pouch" is there all of the time. My dr. will fix that. Also my hips have puckered some. I guess that is what they call dog ears. He will fix that too. Lastly, my belly button looks hideous. He will fix that as well. I want to be happy about my tt, but after writing all of this and seeing all of your pictures, I feel horrible. I am very flat and went down a pant size (went from 6 to a 4) but just don't feel satisified. Does anyone have any similar situations?

Aw, hang in there. It takes a year to fully recover. It's awesome that your doctor is fixing everything. I'm still swollen, still have a pouch, and still have fluid along my incision. I look so much better, but not as flat as I expected. I think the area just below my belly button is too puffy. I still have the Ken Doll going on. Trying to be patient but it's hard.

I had intentionally scheduled my tt so that I could show off my belly by summer and I am not fully happy with my results. It does look alot better than it did before the surger but no where near where I thought I would be. I am trying to be patient, I really am...but 6 months is a long time.

I would love to see some pics to tell what you are talking about. What do you mean that the "pouch" is there all the time. Like below your bellybutton pouch? That's what I'm afraid will happen to me, although my doc. assures me it is still swelling. We shall see. You said you are flat, so I'm wondering what pouch you mean. I have dog ears that I am getting fixed in a couple of weeks, too. What revision is your doctor suggesting?

I'm going to take some pics and post to here over the weekend. Yes, the pouch. My doctor touched it and said he was going to lipo it. It's "full" all of the time as compared to before when it just happened at the end of the day or after exercise.

I just posted a 6 month scar update. How is everyone else doing?

Hi SuzQ! Your flat belly is looking good! I've never done any scar therapy and not much massage either. I just got a prescription for some bleaching cream to lighten the scar. I have a small seroma along my incision line. The belly swelling seems to have improved this week. I agree about the lipo though. My back swells like crazy!

I'm really beginning to believe that if I had never used scar cream or silicone strips I'd end up with the same outcome. I have noticed that the massaging of my scar is making it softer and more pliable. I think it has helped with the scar attaching to underlying tissue as well.

Have you guys done ab work yet? I just started this week b/c I am six months and got the go ahead from doc. I started slow, maybe doing a quarter of what ab. stuff was in a given workout. Not a full ab only workout, just whatever abs were incorporated in with a normal workout. OMG, I am so sore! Not the normal "feel like I worked out" muscle soreness....but the kind of weird pain you know is from the tt. All along the midline--almost a burning type of thing. During the workout for sure, but even after, just sitting. Is this normal? I can't even hold a plank position for more than 30 seconds without a burning line down the center of my stomach happening. I mean, I am six months? Should this still be happening?

Everyone heals differently and I think it depends on if you had a strong core before the tt. I'm a distance runner and was regularly lifting weights and doing yoga so I was cleared at 6 weeks. But I quickly learned to modify the workouts and remember distinctly having ab pain that woke me up in the middle of the night after one of those. I went and had a recheck around 5 months because I had some soreness still after running, etc. My PS said it was normal. So don't be discouraged. Just ease back into it and you may need extra recovery days for a while.
