Is this Normal??

I had my first series of Botox injections yesterday for pain that I have had for years across my face in my head and ear.  I have been sick with the flu ever since and the pain is actually worse and I am scared.  I guess I should not expect too much too soon, but the flu like symtoms are brutal and wondering how long they last are they normal and will the pain eventually subside?  Any thoughts? Thank you, trudey
