New tummy here since July 12th.hello!

By Ndngirl on 03 Aug 2011

I just wanted to say hello. I had my full TT (lipo and ab repair) done July 12 and I am just a day past my 3weeks into recovering. it has been very eventful..from being all drugged up and loopy for a few dayson my recliner to cheering on that I had my first BM.. :P  lol.. I am pretty impressed with how my belly looks now thus far but do have my ups and downs with swellng. Which is now at a minimal. I am mindful in what I eat now and i eat less now. Staying away from sodium or high sodium rich foods, drinking plenty of fluids and staying away from coffee/cappuccino as much as I can (my weekness). I do have decaf - but that even affects me. :(  I am still wearing the binder and also a body shaper at times - recommended by my PS because of my ab repair. To keep everything together in the healing process -or as he puts it- so my guts dont spill out...lol. ;) I am also keeping a journal on my recover and to help  destress. But yah, I am a happy with my new belly. :) How has every's TT adventure been so far?

I feel a lot better - swelling is at a very minimal. Yes I have returned to work. I just went for a walk this morning with my friend and it felt great. I was excited for the procedure. YOu will go in and they will prep you and before you know it you will be out just to wake up - just like that. ;) And healing will begin. Dont freak out, you will do fine and just listen to your PS instructions on recovering afterwards. Pamper yourself too by allowing R&R and others caring for you. :)

Hi! Glad to hear that you're happy with your belly. 15dpo, and so glad that the worst part of recovery is over. I bet you're going to love that new belly while you're dancing!

I am so far so good. :D I do get swelling at minimal but I dont let it get to me. Yes I am anxious to see how I look dancing and in my belly dance costume. In September I will be performing at a belly dance event there...so excited!

Ok tomorrow I will be 5weeks PO. YAY! Well, i stil have a lil' swelling, mainly in my lower ab (below my belly button. Well, since my healing journey begain I have had small areas in the front of my incision that has bled. Most of those areas are healed up...one still has a scab. My PS is not worred there is no infection. Well, now I have another small spot in that general area that has bled. Very small and minimal. I put neosporin on it and put a steril bandage over the area. And I am going to call me PS. I wear my binder kinda low and I believe it is from rubbing the spot. and I noticed that a stitch is coming out. Kinda crazy. Hmm..I wonder if it is that? Well has anyone experienced this?

I had my surgery on the very same day as you. No bleeding, but I have been trying to wean off of wearing my binder all the time, but I definitely have swelling when I remove it.. :( I thought I was past the point of swelling, but when I take my binder off for long periods, I swell...are you experiencing this?

If it looks like a stitch is coming out, I would call your ps? they used disolving stitches on me, except at my belly button, and where my drains were....
