New here..... Sad I just found this!

I am day 9 past surgery and was wondering if anyone else was not given drains or any type of strips for the scars? My Dr gave me gauze and that was all!

I did not have drains. I had steri strips that came off at I believe 6 weeks. I was not given anything else with regard to scar treatment. He told me that I could use the Palmers oil. I am using that in a combination with scar strips I found at CBS

I never used strips and healed beautifully.  Massage with a good oil works wonderfully.
