Abdominal hernia? I didn't tell anyone but I went to Mexico to have it done and then stayed an extra week and called it a holiday. Hubby came for the 2nd week. Thankfully, I am standing upright now and moving pretty good. No real pain, just some discomfort. No one will see me until the 3.5 week mark so highly doubt they will suspect anything (still swollen so my tummy isn't a whole lot different in clothes). I did have lunch with a friend the other day and told her (she is the only one I told besides hubby and kids knowing). She had no idea!!!! So I guess it will depend on your recovery, who will see you when, etc.
