Hello everyone. So glad I found this forum :) I've read a lot of the post and realize I am feeling pretty much like everyone else pre-surgery. Nervous and excited all at the same time. I won't lie...I'm so concerned about the pain involved afterwards. I'm not a big fan of pain meds and definitely don't want anything codine based. yuck. Can someone who has had the TT done already share a little on thier experience with pain control? What about herbal remedies like Arnica? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. So I had my tt done as planned. I am 4 days post op. had post op appointment and my drain was removed. Yay! Surgeon thinks I was able to minimize fluid build up and swelling because of my diet--- I eat little to no salt and minimal sugar. As for pain-- I classify days 1 And 2 as pain hell! Getting to the bathroom from the recliner was beyond painful. Today, I am still hunched over some but the pain is tolerable. Haven't taken pain meds in 9 hrs. Initially regretted my decision to do tt but now that I'm feeling so much better I am happy I did it. Will post pics soon. Hope this helps someone :)

I am very similar to you as I do not like pain medication. My dr. gave me Vicodin and for the first 3 days I took max 2 a day. I don't like how the make you lightheaded. I have taken any pain meds in 36 hours and I don't plan on taking any. I had my TT and lipo of the flanks on the same day as you. My drains are still in and hopefully will be taken out tomorrow. I can't wait to take a shower.

Hi JCnice, all is good. I stopped all pain killers on day 3. I am doing great. I am walking upright most of the time ;). I am going back to work on Wednesday. I am still quite numb around the belly button and still quite tender where I had lipo but I definitely think it was worth it. I am looking forward to waking up sometime soon with no swelling. At the end of the say it will take 6 months to a year to see the full effect.
