I'm going in on Wednesday, and I'm super scared as well. Now more so for the recovery than the surgery. I took my before pics today and can not wait to be flat and lifted! (having BR and lipo as well)

Hi, had my surgery on oct 17th and would do it again tomorrow. Didn't have blood thinners. After being assessed I didn't need them. Felt like I'd done 1000 sit-ups when I woke up. Looking to get breast reduction soon

I did not go on any blood thinners, I did stay in the hospital for 24 hrs after the surgery and had those boot things on that puff up (if you have a csection they usually use them then too). I was up and moving after that - not a ton but every couple of hours I made sure I was up so my hematologist did not think it would be necessary. My PS didn't want me to take any unless it was absolutely necessary and honestly I am not sure she would've done the surgery if it was recommended. My recovery has been smooth sailing ...I'm 15 days out and the more time passes the more I think it is no big deal. I have loved it bc I haven't had a break this long since my twins were born ;-) The drains are a hassle but no big deal, I was apprehensive about them before but they turned out to be nothing. I got mine out a week later, one on a Friday and the next the following Monday. Advice? Hmmm, I took Sinecch (arnica Montana), homeopathic capsules and had almost no bruising whatsoever. I would suggest that, I also had a hospital bed which for me was great...I feel like it totally saved me from straining and was comfortable to sleep and change positions in with the up and down controls for foot and head. I would have bought a second compression garment so I didn't have to go shopping for one while still recovering (mine was too big about 5 days after). Other than that - you will be fine ....I am worlds biggest worrier and I would do it again in a second....you will love the results!

hi, my surgery is on the same day and I am beyond terrified. Ive been having anxiety attacks. I am worried about my kids, anesthesia, blood clots, you name it...I'm worried about it. My boys are 2 and 4. These last two weeks before surgery are making me feel like the world is ending and I have to try to get everything done. I am buying a book today on Amazon that is supposed to ease surgery fears!

It's called Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster. There is a relaxation cd as well. I ordered it overnight express on amazon. Here is a link http://www.amazon.com/dp/0964575760/ref=pe_175190_21431760_M3T1_ST1_dp_2

Bless your heart. Mine is on April 10th. I made the mistake of googling fatality rates for tummy tucks with lipo. Trust me, don't go there!

I was the SAME way ...worried about my kids (3 yr old twins & 2 yr old) growing up without a mother bc I was "vain" , blood clots (I was on lovenox all pregnancies), especially the anesthesia ...heard all the freak stories...I even cancelled my surgery the first time, BUT I had it on February 1 and OMG it was so not a big deal. The night before (after weeks of anxiousness & weirdo dreams) I had a calm come over me ! Ha. Once you get to the hospital things move so quick and the anesthesiologist gave me something almost immediately...and then it was easy going...now that I'm on this side of it , I wish I had saved myself the angst ...so I'd love to be able to ease someone else's mind :) Once you're "out" it's done before you know it & the recovery is fairly easy this far.

That is good to hear Lucy. Did you go on blood thinners after the Tt? And how has your recovery been? Any advice?
