I had my lips tattooed a fairly bright mauve color two years ago. The doctor tattooed about 1/8 inch bigger than my natural lip

I hate the way I look.  What is the safest way to have the color taken off of the part that is not my lip?  It looks horrible. please help, I cant stand to look at myself in the mirror.
