My mom had that. Be careful... Is there puss? Her Dr left it alone too, but it wasn't forming puss, it worried me though. (She's fine now) I watched botched and there was a case of this lady that got an infection and her ps didn't treat it correctly and she had to get procedure redone because the infection spread and went untreated! When do you see your ps? If you feel like your ps isn't treating it right, I'd go to my primary dr! Darn, there I go yapping! I'm sorry, I hope I didn't scare you? If I did I apologize, I'm just speaking if you were a dear friend...

I know we all heal at our own pace, but I would definitely throw a fit and get seen right away.

Who's still swelling? I've been doing cardio for 2 weeks now, but yesterday I decided to go to the beach and make castles, and bury my 7 year old. Gosh Darn this! I noticed as I drove home last night that I was swelling, so I put on a girdle to sleep, but didn't help! I'm swollen today... Like 5 lbs! Grrrrrr :(

I still swell, especially if I eat something salty or am in the heat. I'm still wearing my binder during the day and sometimes at night, too. Sometimes a water pill helps.

I'm 10 weeks post-op and I work out every day and by the end of the day my abs are swollen! It's very frustrating! I even woke up this morning and they're still swollen from yesterday! I've heard that the more active we are there is swelling due to the lymphatic system and where we had surgery. This is what is causing the swelling. I take a water pill every other day and I also take Bromelain twice a day. That has helped with some of my swelling issues.

Is everyone still wearing their binder? I've been trying to wear mine less and less which seems to help some with swelling. It seems counter-intuitive, but maybe all the swelling kind of dissipates when it has more room to spread out. lol

I wear my CG at night. My PS wants me to wear a spanx during the day. I'm still battling a hematoma right above my belly button. It doesn't hurt, just annoying. Uggggg. Oh I'm 2 months po.

I am 8 weeks post op and still swell some but nothing like I did. The last time I saw my PS he asked if I had lost weight and I was like no I am just not so swollen anymore. I have resigned myself to the swelling and it stops when it stops. I am hoping by 6 months it will all be resolved. I read on line that it could take up to 18 months for it to finally go away for good! Don't mean to be personal but is it getting closer to that time of the month?

I stopped wearing mine a couple of weeks ago (at about 8 weeks post-op) I still have a little swelling in my lower abs at the end of the day depending on my activity level, but I was having that whether I wore the binder or not.

I still wear my waist binder, sometimes at night. Usually by dinner time it goes on. I just feel like I need it. Especially when my flanks start stinging! Or my belly looks bloated. I will try water pills, and I'm a new me? Where can I get bromelain?

SO ITCHY!! What are you guys doing (one month PO) about your itchy skin?? I remember hearing you shouldn't put anything on your scars....but has anyone used lotion AROUND them? My whole chest is itchy and peeling. I want so bad to cover myself in lotion!! AHH!

I've been putting triple antibiotic ointment on my scars twice a day. I wonder if you could put pain relieving neosporin on them or benadryl cream to help with the itch.
  • Reply
Thanks! I'll try the neosporin, see if that helps!

My Dr said no cream but advised taking a Benadryl tablet. I only had 2 itchy days

Hi ladies! Here's a question for the group: how are your new boobs progressing? Would love to hear your experiences. The swelling is going down on mine (so now it's less of a porno/engorged look) and they're dropping and softening a bit, but they still look overly round, especially toward the armpits. I'm 5 wks PO tomorrow and I know, I know, they say 3 months is the minimum time to see the most significant changes, but I really hope they go down a bit more. I have 235 cc moderate profile Sientra silicone implants and had an anchor lift too.
