I need scar therapy advice. What are you using and where did you get it?

I had a MR and Tt and I am finding that I am only able to eat very small portions of food at a time, which probably a really good thing. Maybe she inserted a lap band while she washing there. Is anyone else experiencing the Same?

I wish they out a lapband in. It's because the stomach area is tight due to the tightness of our stomach. Sadly we do eventually stretch it back out. It took me two weeks to eat normal again. :/

I am 2 weeks P.O. and still only able to eat 1/2 portions.....I am going to hope it lasts. Down 12 pounds since surgery.

Hope everyone is well! Will we look as flat as we did right after the surgery?

Me too, I love my dr and her partner who have seen me numerous times. They are great and wish I would get off the internet because I worry and ask too many questions. I feel so much better today, the pain is sI testable. But I fantasize about sleeping on my stomach, swimming in my pool too!

Another trick/tip I wanted to share....our livers are getting a major work out flushing everything out of our cells. I started drinking cranberry water years ago when I did my first liver flush. You can find the 100% cranberry juice without sweetners in the grocery store, sometimes it is a hunt because it is in more of the health food section. Don't try and drink it straight it is way to bitter. I mix it 1/2 cup cranberry to a pitcher of water. The recipe said to add a sprinkle of stevia but I like sour things so I never did. Good luck and happy Healing!

Question. I am 3 weeks post and under my belly button, along the incision it is a bit puffy, fat or swollen. Will that mold in? go down?
  • Reply
I am very puffy there too. My ps told me last week that area takes longer to heal sometimes maybe because'of the tension thete not sure. I am not quite two week will bring this up at my appointment Thursday!!

My doctor told me it was fluid. I'm 5 weeks post op and still getting drained. I'm still in pain and uncomfortable.

Hi there I went to my ps today. The part of my incision that has the bad swelling underneath it is not healing well boo. I have to keep triple antibiotic and gauze on it change 2x daily. I am pretty down was hoping I would not have any skin healing issues. he said the increased swelling in that area is normal. He said I could go to spanx and start silicone scar strips. Do you have any reccomendations for either. I looked up the silicone sheets looks like another 600.00 if you get them for the tummy and each breast. Hope you are doing well!

Sorry that you are having challenges. I got a full body firm control Spanx on line from her room. Day one it felt really tight, but by day three I am loving it. Swelling is getting better, I am still wearing a cami under the spanx but may try a to skip it but i like that I have a buffer between the spanx and my skin/scars. good Luck!

Oh my I am sorry to hear that. I unfortunately not sure what to suggest. I had steri-strip on my incisions. When they were taken off all look great and sealed. I do not have swelling, just that puff above the incision, which once the scar is completely healed should get better and flatter. I hope the decision you make is right for you! Good luck!

I've been having that in my breast and tummy the last week. It's an odd sensation.

Okay- this really HURTS! I am now really swollen in pubic area problem. It's so sensitive to the touch, I don't like massaging it, because of the pain but I'm trying. I have slight oozing from my incision. I'm really down. I have big sores under both boobs after the lift that are oozing too. One breast is swollen and really bruised , it was bleeding a lot last Sunday my dr had to stick a needle in there several times to suck out old blood. Man that hurt too!! Does Anyone else have that? I have been blow drying the other breast because it is an open yellow sore - I blow dry it a lot and it's not drying up.my dr says I should always wear a wireless bra of some kind for support- but she never stresses the cg! I just want to be flatter, I'm super picky. I was thrilled with the results at first, now of course I am finding flaws. I should just be patient, be grateful, be massaging more ,drinking more water etc ... I bought the silicone strips - I like them when not massaging. After one use you can tell the scar looks better.

Yes, you just described what I have been going through. Except for the needle and the blow drying. My Dr. didn't seem too concerned about the lump and bruising the last two times I saw him. This draining on the other side is new. I did need antibiotics for the infection two weeks ago, now it's back and I have to call in the morning.

Hi, feeling any better? I actually feel worse, went for a long walk this morning because I felt better. (A little bit of nucynta left). I m so sore! My boobs feels like huge water balloons about to explode and my vagina feels like someone hit it with a baseball bat. I wish my dr would've given me a heads up about some stuff that is normal that I could be prepared for. I thought I was out of the woods pain wise.
