Hey Luna and ShelBell!! I am also getting my mommy makeover in January!! After 6 consultations I finally found the right surgeon!! Did you guys have a hard time picking a surgeon? Now my big obsession is implant size!!! Help!!!
FitDiva 21 Dec 2011
Jennifer I am going to consult number 6 next week. This is draining and each time I get more and more confused as they all say different things! Besides I am soo ready to get on with it already!!! I am shooting for a late January date. I really dont want lollipop I prefer areola but we will see. Again they all say different things.
ShellBell79 26 Oct 2011
Hi Jennifer, I had my surgeon narrowed down to 3 based on Internet reviews and pictures. My second consult I knew he was the one!! I've been a little indecisive on implant size I've tried on 425 and 450 cc silicone implants. I'm 5'9 145 and A 36B. I don't want to be too big I'm thinking a big C or small D. What size were u thinking of going? I'm in Arizona and my surgery is scheduled for Jan 5th.. Glad to have someone to talk to!! Very Nervous and excited:)

Hey I had mine done the 6th. How are you doing? I'm going to jump to your review!!
Jennifer6177 27 Oct 2011
Hey ShellBell, I am currently 5'4 and 123 and a 34C. I used to be a full C/ small D but after having 3 kids and bfeeding each for a year they are droopy :( I am going to need a lollipop lift and augmentation to add upper pole fullness. I am currently looking at 350-375 high profile. Some ppl aren't fond of the high profile implants because they project out more and create more of a rounder top. I however, have always liked the upper round look and just think it looks more youthful. After having mine go so South all I want is them to be high and full!! I have not scheduled my surgery day yet but I am looking at the first week of January also!! So excited and nervous and so glad I have someone to talk to!!!!
ShellBell79 27 Oct 2011
Oh my gosh I don't know about u but a part of me wishes I scheduled earlier! I guess I have too much time to obsess over everything!! I just felt it would be best to wait till after the holidays plus metally & physically I want to be prepared! What r u doing for pre op preparation? Lol I've become totally addicted to all these sites trying to prepare myself for everything involed. Have u been to make me heal website? They have
supplements.. just about everything you'll need to be comfortable before and after surgery. P.s I think with your lift and 350 375 High profile will look awesome.. prob will put u a nice D! What post op size were u wanting?
Jennifer6177 27 Oct 2011
I would like to be a full D maybe DD? My hubby likes them bigger : ) but I am a little torn and that's why I'm having trouble finding the right size. I am very active, I am at the gym 6 days a week, running, spin, bikram, etc. so I am a little worried for them to be too big. At the same time, all my friends that have had breast augmentation wish that they would have gone bigger. So much to think about and obsess over!! I agree...we have way too much time to obsess over this!! I agree that I want to mentally be prepared. For me, the holidays are really busy with parties, shopping, decorating, etc. so I really need to be my normal self in order to get things done. I feel like after the holidays life slows down and it would be the perfect time to get the body ready for Summer!!! I just can't wait but at the same time I am sooooooo nervous!!!
I have not been on the make me heal website yet. I am working out more than ever and eating clean. So far I have lost 4 pounds and feel great. I want to be in the best shape that I can be prior to surgery so that is another reason why I'm waiting. My ps said that in order to get the absolute best results, it is best to be at your ideal weight. I pray that I can get down to 117, that is when I usually look my best! How about you? Are you trying to lose weight before surgery?
ShellBell79 29 Oct 2011
Hi, I've also heard when in doubt go bigger;) ha one day I'm like no bigger than a C but the next day I get boob greed!! I think I'm going back to the PS office and play around with sizes again. I'm really trying to bump up my workouts, I started a vitamin supplement about a month ago call super food. I think it's working my energy levels have gone through the roof. I would like to drop 5 more pounds but it's those pesky pounds that are almost impossible to keep off. One thing my ps did recommend is lymphatic massage before and after surgery. #1 it's suppose to help decrease swelling and speed up your recovery if u haven't heard of it U should google it. I'm defenitley buying a package, I also bought some tea that's suppose to flush your lymphode system too. Bye for now:)

hi there,
it's so nice to hear about you all. I've decided on getting 375cc. I am also excited and nervous I keep looking at my calender everyday and counting down the days to january 31st!!! once x-mas is here, I will be that much closer to getting my surgery, my mother is coming up to help with my daughter, and I will be nice having here with me for support since we are so close. I am also taking some multi-vitamins and some iron pills, since I'm usually very low on iron. my doctor doesn't usually do a tummytuck and breast lift and breast implants all in one surgery, but he says that I'm at a healthy weight, and my health history seems ok, but just to make sure I'm going to have to get some tests done like bloodwork and a ekg test!! I'm personally glad he's making me do these test as I feel he cares about my safety, than about making money!! so glad I found him. I really never had the problems with deciding on Implants sorry I'm no help:( I'm a 34B 5'4 and 120 pds and I've tried on some implants at the doctors office and I think the 375cc looks wonderful on my frame and I would probably end up being a full C or small D. i truly wish you both a wonderful outcome, sorry i took me so long to answer, I'm also In school so been a little busy. hope we can support each other on this wonderful journey!!
Monique_Ready4Freddy's 22 Nov 2011
Congrats, luna! Glad for you that your mom is helping out. I'm sure any and all help will make the whole thing so much easier. Also glad you have a PS that is taking the appropriate precautions. Mine also wants to have me do bloodwork, and I'm going to have a few ultrasounds too, to make sure my blood is flowing properly in case I may need some blood thinners after surgery.
I'm 36B, 5'1...I'd love to be a D cup. My friend got implants (she referred me to her surgeon) and she's 4'11 with D's. They do look huge on her frame, but she's super happy! And she's had them about 15 years! :)
Jennifer6177 31 Oct 2011
Shell-where can i get the superfood supplements? I need energy!! The massage sounds great, especially coming from your ps.
Luna-that is so great that you know exactly what you want!! I am 5'4 too and now I am down to 121!! My perfect weight is probably 117. I also liked the 375 on my frame! Are you getting moderate or high profile?
ShellBell79 2 Nov 2011
Hi girls,
Luna its good to hear from you! Sounds like your getting everything in order for the big day, 375 sounds perfect!@ Jennifer I get my superfood from Herbdoc.com it's Dr. Schultz he has wonderful products. But of course I will be stopping them 2 weeks before surgery. I also recently finished his colon clense formula lol TMI!! But I'm just trying to be in the best health possible! Sorry about the delay in responding I've had my family visiting from Oregon. Have an awesome week ladies!!
Megan in Indiana 15 Nov 2011

It's been long Enough (RealFriend) 19 Nov 2011
HEY DONT FORGET ME!!! I am scheduled for Jan 6th.. I am in the "Lift" forum too but I am getting a full TT and BL/BA...
Monique_Ready4Freddy's 21 Nov 2011
Hello everyone! I'm still doing consults. I have my second this Wednesday, then one on Dec. 1 and another on Dec. 3. Had my first about a week ago. So far, everything about the first doc seems awesome (he was referred by a friend who had a BA, the other docs I found online). I'd love to have my surgery around my birthday in March. That way, I can be all healed up for my 10 year anniversary in late July. I want the full Mommy makeover, but due to my hernia, I'll be getting a TT if nothing else.
Jennifer6177 21 Nov 2011
Hey Megan-Let us know how your consults go!! It's been long enough-Welcome to our board and we will not forget about you!!! What type of implant are you looking at getting? Midwest Mommy- March is perfect and you will heal nicely for your 10 year Anniversary!! How exciting!! Are you going somewhere special? AFM- I am trying to get the finances together and I have moments where I wonder if I should do this....to spend all this money on me is sometimes crazy to me!! We have all these expenses and sometimes I feel guilty. Anyone else feel like they are crazy to do this sometimes?
Monique_Ready4Freddy's 22 Nov 2011
Hi, Jennifer! No, we aren't going any where special, can't find a babysitter for the kids...which really sucks, becuase I also can't get any help if I decide to go through with the procedure. Everyone in my family (except for my hubby) is totally and completely against the idea of me getting a tummy tuck, a BA, anything at all. They think it's a waste of time and money and too dangerous, so I'm not telling anyone I'm even having consults. I'm just gonna be a hermit, then when the snow melts, I'll pop out with boobs and they won't know how or when it happened! :)
I'm in the same boat with you on the finances. Again, family is saying if I have $$ to spend (or rather, finance) on a boob job, I should get a new house or new car instead. I'm feeling guilty, because part of me feels the same way. I'm trying to think of it as an investment. I've invested in myself to go back to school, so I don't see why I can't invest in myself so I can feel better about my appearance.I don't know why it's such a crime for a mommy to do something for herself every once in awhile.
Megan in Indiana 22 Nov 2011
Monique-Sounds like we are on about the same schedule. My 8th anniversary is in July, I too, would love to be a good part healed by then. Jennifer-oh yes, I feel bad at times. Especially because it is an elective surgery and surgery has risks, you know. And I of course want to be around for my children. And yeah, then there is the expense of it all. But just remember, we are doing it for US, and a happy mom makes an even better mom!
Monique_Ready4Freddy's 22 Nov 2011
I so agree with you, Megan! Happy moms make even better moms! Gosh, I felt guilty about spending money going back to school (still do at times) so the surgery thing will definitely take a toll on my emotions, i'm sure. I've been reading the stories here at RealSelf, so it looks like most of us go through that rollercoaster ride.
I'm SO VERY scared about the risks involved. I hope in time my fears get a little lighter
luna llena 26 Nov 2011
hi all,
our surgeries seem to be approaching very fast with x-mas around the corner, before you know it. it will be 2012!!!I try not to think of my upcoming surgery day january 31st! but its so hard not to think about it,because I'm so excited and nervous. I am also In the same boat of feeling guilty of spending so much money, the only people who know I'm having this done is my husband and my mom, my parents in-law are so old fashioned, they would have a fit, if they found out what I was doing, so when I appear with new boobs, they are gonna wonder, he he. but like my mom says keep them guessing. I'm so happy for all of you In taking this big step in your life for change, and I pray that everything goes well for you all. we shall keep in contact.
XOXO

Hi Gang, my surgery is sch for 1/10...wow, only a week away! Getting full TT & BA/BL. I am also keeping it quiet, except for my hubbie & a few close friends. My family would totally think I am an airhead for doing this & spending this kind of money. I think I will b able to disguise the boobs as I am not going very big - just a refill :-) - & I have been majorly stuffing my bras for ages. I think the people @ the gym r the only ones that will c a big change. I am getting 350 saline tho my Doc said I could have up 2 425. I am v active & don't want the girls 2 b 2 big, r for it to b 2a noticeable. I am thinking I will end up a decent C maybe a small D & that is loads for me. Also on the guilt trip about the money & how hard the first few weeks will be on my husband & kids. Hubbie is v supportive tho, which is great as he'll be the one wiping my ass (when I finally have that bm).....only joking...I hope! Good luck 2 the rest of u Jan babes & I will keep u posted.

Hi! I am so excited to have found all of u! I am also looking into the beginning of the year for my surgery. I want to have a TT, lift with BA with lipo to the flanks. I looked into a couple years ago and had planned for a march surgery. My husband ended up losing his job and was unemployed for a year. I have done alot of research and searching for the right doc and narrowed it down to a handful in my area. I went back recently to the doc I had originally chosen and he is now 4 grand more than he was then! currently going back through the other docs to see if this is the trend. Looking like it. If so, I'll have to postpone yet again! I have one more doc to see who will make or break my plan. Fingers crossed!
