Micro dot scarring 4 weeks after Fraxel Repair

By 5087anon on 10 Apr 2010

I'm 4 weeks past Fraxel Repair and I can still see micro dots and laser "tracks" on my face. Will this go away? What can I do to fix it? My makeup sinks into these spots/tracks and looks terrible!

Hi Anon, Speak with your treating physician. The dots and tracks will eventually go away. In a minority of patients it does sometimes take a few months. You can have O2 Intraceuticals facials to help hydrate your skin, use SkinMedica's TNS Essential Serum (growth factors), and even have a Fraxel repair Lite treatment (at very low settings, 5 mj, 10 to 20% coverage). Good luck and be well. Dr. P

Hi Dr. Persky - my doc now thinks this is a microscarring that can sometimes occur with fraxel. My skin texture just isn't the same as it was before the procedure and now I'm 4 months out. Any suggestions to help?

Can you get laser tracks from Fraxel re:store? After my treatment, I have holes that form lines all over my face.

I just got my 1st fraxel treatment done on Oct.19th. I have little tiny micro-dot bronze color spots on my face... Is this the burnt skin that falls off? I'm on my 3rd day and I started taking a steamed shower and a warm face cloth and gently wiping them away. But since my skin is still very sensitive I am doing it very gently. Should I not be doing this? My skin sort of feels like a sand paper... anybody else get this way ?
