Meeting with friends after?

Heyy! This question is for those who already had their procedure done.. In my case, I chose not to tell anyone about the surgery and just getting it done, but Im very nervous about how people will react about it! I know some of you said no one noticed but I dont know i cant imagine no one noticing that big change.. Also when only one person notice, he or she will tell everyone.. So how was your experience, does it is as  uncomfortable/awkard situation as I think it will be? Anyway Im happy with getting my surgery and wont change my mind for any reason!

Hello everyone! So two months passed since I asked this question and its time to answer what actually happened! My surgery made a lot of difference to my face and Im completely happy I went through with it.. The first encounter was with my grandmother and she kept telling me how "handsome" I was and how nice I looked (normally she doesnt tell me these things), but she didnt notice a thing about the surgery! The first meeting with my friends no oneee told me a thing! I was mentally prepared for someone to tell me something but NO! The second meeting with around 20 friends only one noticed, and it was the typical person who is known to worry more about other people stuff rather than her own problems, anyway I didnt care :). In this second meeting my other friends kept telling how cute and nice I looked and they thought it was because I change my haircut hahha!! Its incredible how I spent hours talking with them and they didnt notice such a big change, I couldnt believe it! I guess I should congratulate my doctor in the next follow up appointment haha only 1 of 30 all time friends noticed it! Its great how happy you can be after this surgery and I totally recommend it to everyone who really thinks they need it!

How did you go Danielim? did anyone notice or say anything?? These comments are really reassuring- I also told noone and am back to work tomorrow (with dramatic new haircut which will hopefully throw my colleagues off the scent haha)).

Haha Ive read the change of haircut is a really good option! Sorry I cant answer you this question because my surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday (Nov 27).. From the comments below we can conclude that no one will notice but well who knows! I hope your new haircut disguise will work, but if not who cares, you are happy with it and that is the most important thing! Like Annika said " Just ignore everyone & enjoy your new self!".. Sometimes I think about this but I read the comments below and I calm down haha.. Good luck to you tomorrow and I hope you write us back with how it went!

Hey! The haircut fell through and I had to brave it out at work with nothing to hide behind. Let me tell you I'm SO glad I didn't tell anyone... out of 6 of my colleagues not one even gave me a funny look. And it was all swollen and bruised too haha! I'm so relieved :) You'll totally get away with it too!!!

Phew thanks for the updated response! I'm scared to go back on Monday. I had planned on having a change in hair, too, but it was less than dramatic....my stylist wouldn't make me blonde like I requested because she didn't want my long hair to be damaged. I toyed with the idea of getting bangs, but chickened out. Soooo I added some lighter shades of brown but it's not noticeable AT ALL. Glad to hear that more than likely, it's not necessary :-)

Ali that's exactly(!!) what happened to me when I went to the hairdresser. How did you go at work today? I saw a couple of my close friends and a pile of friends of friends- again no one noticed anything at all. Strange when it's been such a big deal for me and my confidence :)

Haha greatt they didnt notice! Sometimes we tend to think we are worse than we really are (brusing and swelling) haha but we are just fine .. I didnt told anyone but just one best friend which I trust.. She keeps saying to me that she is sure men wont notice but women will definitely point out the change because according to her "you analyze a lot hahaha".. Lets see what happens! just 2 day missing!

Work was fine! I couldn't believe it but everyone just went along without noticing a thing. I still have a bit of bruising under my eyes, too! I kinda casually threw it out there that I had the flu last week as a cover for the "bags" under my eyes (really bruises) and the little bit of redness under my nose looked like I had been blowing it a lot. I work with a 100% male workforce, so that could have something to do with it. The real test will be when I see my family for Thanksgiving on Thursday....

That will be an interesting Thanksgiving dinner!

Just left my family's home after Thanksgiving dinner. NO ONE Noticed! Its so hard to believe! If anyone was going to notice, it would have been my mother but nope! Not my mom, brother, sister, or dad noticed anything! They just told me I looked skinny. I smiled and thanked them for noticing (or not noticing as it were). Hehe what a relief, I was soooo stressed about being found out :-)

Excellent! That must be a relief for you, because you'd assume if anyone is goong to notice then family would be the ones. I'm seeing my parents on Monday, so hopefully they will be the same :)

Hi: ) as you probably know already even my grandmother didnt notice! most people wont notice or even if they notice a different they wont be able to point out what is different. Also I think you will find yourself not caring as much about what people might be thinking or gossiping about etc. I saw some girls from uni staring a bit during class but I really couldnt care less.. they didnt dare to ask and I didnt adress it so after a week everything was back to normal ; ) Just ignore everyone & enjoy your new self!

The only people who will notice are people who have known you your whole life. Well according to Jax, her mother didn't notice, so who knows? When it comes to strangers (unless they're like me, highly observant and can detect plastic surgery) they won't know you had any work done.... unless you tell them.

My family also didn't notice anything. Acquaintances thought I got a nice haircut. LOL

my own mom didn't even notice! The changes are subtle, honestly I wouldn't stress too much about this part. like angie said, people don't pay that much attention to your flaws. They're too busy thinking of their own ;)

People do not pay attention to your flaws as much as you think they do. I found that out when I had my rhinoplasty. If I weren't an oversharer who told the whole world, I highly doubt anyone would have noticed. There were a few people from my life that I didn't announce it to, and nada...
