My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday March 15th, I am excited to get it done, I finally decided that after almost 11 years this stomach was here to stay. My doctor told me he would do the surgery without the drains, has anyone else had this done and what type of pain will I be in afterwards? I have had a c-section and my appendix out, is the pain in the same category, any information will help.

my story is alot like like yours, except I am getting two drains.For 11 yrs I have been wanting it done, c-section (18 years ago), appendix as a teenager and march 15th is my surgery (michigan).Today I went and got my 5 meds filled, made up a schedual so I remember when to take them all. I am getting the pain pump, not sure if everyone does or not. I am getting nervous, but excited. Glad to have just found this forum today.

My TT is scheduled for Mar 15. I'm thrilled I'm doing this, I'm amazed I have a supportive family, and I just cant wait to gain the appearance I couldn't achieve any other way! Believe me I tried. But after 3 kids back to back in my early 20's, there's just not a thing in the world you can do to repair separated muscles or loose wrinkled skin. Let's not even talk about the handfuls of fat! The anticipation is killing me!

Looks like we will be in this on the same day, I hope I do not experience that much pain, I do not have a recliner, and I am now wishing I did, good luck to you and I wish you all the best, I can't stop being nervous, I hope this passes soon.

march 15..here we go! good luck, trying to keep busy today. doc called and said be at the hospital at 5:45am. I am having TT, lipo of the flanks, inner and outer thighs. If all goes smooth should be home by 3pm.

I can't believe the 15th is tomorrow..I'm nervous, excited, and scared....I know I will be good, but I am not looking forward to the pain..Good luck everyone!

Hi guys . . congrats on your surgeries. I had my tt w/lipo on Friday, March 16 (Virginia). The pain hasn't been nearly as bad as what I was expecting, with the exception of my lower back. I have 2 drains & I had a pain pump when I came home from the hospital but it was removed the Monday following at my 1st post-op appt. I'm thinking it was probably a good thing I had it for a few days. My belly has gotten very sensitive to the touch during the last couple of days. I have also noticed some lumps or bumps under my skin in my upper abdominal area around my rib cage. Anybody else have that??? It's weird b/c all my "work" was done in my lower abdomen (I think)

Hi kimberly in Maryland . . . I had my tt on March 16 & I don't have a recliner either. My wonderful husband set me up a nice 'bed' on our sofa (part of it looks like a chaise lounge). I have tons of pillows . . . for my butt, my back & to put under my knees (the most important, I think). I hope you are doing well. Good luck & happy healing =))

Hi Beach Bum! I had a tt with lipo the same day. I haven't had any lumps or bumps on my abdomen. My flanks/sides where he lipo'd have been a lottle lumpy but massaging has helped that. I think everybodys body is different. If you are worried I would just call my PS.

I could not even imagine this surgery without drains. I drained for 21 days. This is toxic to your body and can kill you if you do not have drains . Seek a second opinion. Lor from Chicago

It doesn't even seem real yet. I'm just worried about the whole recovery. With three kids, I'm just hoping my hubby can handle it!

i have 3 kids too, 23 months, almost 4 and a 9 yr old i am more nervous for recovery with them then surg! how old are your kids?

I am March 27th....Tummy Tuck w MR, lipo on back and flanks and breast lift with implants....We are one day apart, How excited!!!! We can go thru this major makeover together LOL

Yes!!! I am oober excited!!! My TT is March 2nd and I am debating on if I should have my flanks lipoed...my abdomen will be at no charge it comes with TT procedure...well, take a look at my pics on my page and let me know what you think....I personally don't think so since I have a lot of skin but, I am not sure....HELP!!
