Can anyone recommend a good compression garment? I've literally tried like 10 different ones for one that fits semi comfortably. Would love to hear what you ladies are wearing. I keep going back to the velco wrap one I used in the hospital. I have an area directly under my breasts that hurts when I wear one- the skin even seems to get discolored.

I'd love to hear what everyone is wearing too. I have yet to find one single thing that I can wear comfortably under clothing. Nothing I have tried seems to feel right!!

I bought the expensive Spanx, and they rolled down, so I went and bought the cheaper version (still a Spanx brand) Assets from Target. They go a little under your breasts and down your thighs, but focus on the tummy area. They have worn well and are really comfortable.

Me too. I bought a few others to alternate but i keep going back to the hospital velcro ones. The 'thinner' less bulky ones normally comes with boning (like a stiff plastic sewn into the garment) and cos i'm quite skinny, those rests and rubs on my protruding hip bones and produces nasty results by the end of the day. And my ps specifically tell me NOT to get anything that rubs on my incisions under the breasts. so I just resign and wear my hospital velcros under my babydoll or empire cut flare dresses until 7 weeks PO. At 6 weeks PO PS said no need to wear binder but I wasn't comfortable. So only after 7 weeks was I able to wear pants. somehow, looking good going to work is not worth my comfort and my longterm results.

I looked at those yesterday, but didn't buy them. Did you get the medium compression or firm ? and did you go up a size or two or stick with your regular size?

I am in love with my CG. It's contemporary design international Sculptures line. This thing is so comfy. And I have bought a few. It's the only one I will wear.

Just wondering, is anyone NOT happy with their results so far? I am 5 weeks PO and very concerned that I will need a revision. I have a lower bulge when I stand which is swollen, but when I sit, I still have a puddle of what appears to be loose skin. I am hoping its swelling, but seems like skin to me. I am feeling really down.
Am I ready for this 8 May 2013
I feel the same way, I have "the puddle" in the top part of my belly and I have one breast larger than the other.

I feel like my tummy was flatter before surgery... I go to have a seroma drained on Friday, I'm hoping that will help? I have alot of swelling above my scar so it looks like a ridge. I hope it's swelling and not skin! Ughhhh
LingLingLingLing 8 May 2013
I am happy with my results so far HOWEVER, I feel it has not reached its full potential yet. My scar is still not flat like normal skin and my tummy is bigger than it was before the op. Especially the lower part. The top part all the way down to my waist is actually smaller and firmer. but under my bb is a different story. But i thought that is to be expected? That the incision will be somewhat bigger for up to a year? So, if i go without my garment and put on a figure hugging dress, I can see the ridge of my incision sticking out. Still i believe that its the healing process not done yet. I have had a scar revision on my thigh due to previous infection scar healing poorly. and for the 1st year, even under tight pants, I can see the ridge of the scar (i think due to internal sutures not dissolved yet) now it is flush with other skin. take a year for me. So I wouldn't be too hasty to judge final results before a year is up.

I am only 3 weeks PO and this morning was the first time I took off all the tape and got a look at my body. Compound that with PMS and I was a wreck, wondering why I couldn't have just been happy with the way I was?? My husband called me zipper waist. Ugh. Get the tape back on. Much better. If I let myself nitpick I see one boob higher, one sticks out further on the side, and the higher one is a little bigger. I just try not to think about all that. I'm on the fence with my tummy... My hips seem to look wide now and my pubic mound has been pulled up, my pubes are so much higher and I hate hair and low waisted bikini bottoms look best on me.... So I know what you mean. I try to be positive and think positive because its such a better mindset but if I let myself, I would go crazy. I hope your down days get better really soon! *hugs*

You sound just like me. My right breast is more sore today, and seems slightly higher and a tiny bit bigger. Wonder if it's because I'm right handed and using that side more? I feel like I may have lifted too much on the right yesterday. Almost like a pulled muscle. I also am very concerned about my bikini area- I too usually wear low waisted bikini bottoms- with a two piece or tankini- now I may not be able to wear either! Initially I know my scar was plenty low enough. Hoping it's just swelling, but have an appt in the am to get my last drain out and plan to ask my PS. I still have tape covering my areolas so not sure how they look. Love my new belly button- I was very worried about that- so trying to focus on the positive.

We all are going to be critical, this is why we had work done in the first place. My husband new me well enough that he had me measure my stomach and hips and below my breast so I could go back and compare. My right breast is higher and larger, but the PS said this is due to the fact that I am right handed and it will settle. They should prepare all of us better for the scar, it takes your breath away when you first see it. You also realize that it was not the wrap that made you feel thight across your middle but the scar. Mine is really dark right now, I am doing the silicone and vitamin e. It is also raised and I am ready for it to go smooth, but again, no it needs time. My swelling really went down after week three. I am wearing the absolute tightest spanxs I can find. Good luck to all. In the end I think we will all be happy if we compare to before.

I'm very happy with my results. My lower belly is a swollen too...my PS said there will be swelling ..I wear a CG and or my binder . He said it will take my body about a year before I see my full results. I know someone who got it done too...she said it took her tt about two years to fully heal. I'm about five weeks PO...so time will tell I hope to keep reading/hearing from you all...especially in the long haul, to see how we all are a year from now

hey you guys..to those that have been working out.. are you finding difficulty losing any weight you might have put on...I gained about ten pounds and cant seem to lose it.. I don't know if its my metabolism that has been thwarted or what..ive been working out a lot..ive hanged my diet..i just don't know if these pounds are here to stay or what?..any insight from anyone who has been here would be appreciated..
fitfoxxy 6 May 2013
Hello I'm 4.5 weeks PO. I've been working out for about 2 weeks. I just posted some pictures and look forward to losing this last ten pounds....have a great day!
thinkpink3777 7 May 2013
When does the back pain subside? Right now I just wish for the day I can stand straight! I hope I'm back to working out as fast as you! Congrats! You look great!
Painwimp 8 May 2013
I'm with you! The back pain is the worst!! I am standing a little straighter now Not sure what I'd do if my family weren't willing to rub my back. We've made it to a week post op!(actually 8 days now!) What was it that someone suggested putting on your back that was unscented? I can't find it, but know I read it on here somewhere.
fitfoxxy 8 May 2013
thank you so much. I think my back pain felt better after about 2 weeks. im about 4.5 weeks out now and don't have any at all. its a mean to an end. but I do remember my back killing me, if youre allowed try taking some aleve, or midol.
thinkpink3777 8 May 2013
Hmm I think I saw something about arnica Montana and maybe bio freeze or something similar? My scar is so tender and red today. I was on my feet a good amount yesterday. Ahhhh I need some back pain relief!!
luvmyboys 8 May 2013
Oh, that's the bio freeze. It has a scent when you first put it on, but dissipates quickly. Works pretty well! I really like that you can get it in a rollerball so you don't get it all over your hands.
Painwimp 9 May 2013
Thank you- I'm going to get some today! My PS doesn't allow Motrin or Aleve for another week.
thinkpink3777 2 May 2013
Had my TT and BA on the 30th. So depressed. Got on scale and it says I'm up 14 pounds. I barely have any appetite. I mean I expected some gain with swelling but I seriously look FAT and am disgusted. The pain is bearable but the emotional toll from seeing how awful I look is already feeling like I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yuck.
nomoremt 3 May 2013
It will go away I promise. I was up 10 pounds and called the doctor he said it is all water weight. If you look you can even see it in your legs from the swelling after surgery and iv's. Mine was gone in 10 days. I too was so frustrated, but it does go away
thinkpink3777 3 May 2013
Thanks, I really can't believe it's 14 pounds. I mean I'm shocked. I could almost understand under ten pounds but seeing 14 is really shocking. I really hope it goes away soon.
