I'm usually 125 but now 140 ; :( I'm 5'1, getting hernia surgery next week. Then a MM on 5/16!! It seems I can't lose weight, super depressing :(

I'm about 5'6'' and prob weight about 189 but don't weigh myself too much. Currently a U.S. size 12, I'd love to get down to an 8/10 by June 14, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm really motivated to be fit and healthy for the recovery more than reaching a specific pound on the scale.

I'm 5'7 and 153 lbs. My goal is 145-150. But my surgery is on April 11 and I don't see how I'll be able to lose the weight that fast and still keep it off. So I'll have to tighten up my diet and workout hard to lose the last 8 pounds afterwards.

Hello All, I am 5 ft and now weigh 143. I have lost over 40 pounds this past year. I really wanted to be at 135 before surgery but it does not look like that is going to happen. I have worked out very hard but I think I may have let my body get rundown because I have 2 overuse injuries and terrible colds back to back. I am not giving up but it sure can be frustrating at times.

Hey ladies, has anyone tried the hcg diet? If so, what are your thoughts? Results? I'm interested but have doubts... I swear my birth control pill is making weight loss so hard! :/

I did it when watching what I ate and exercising didn't go anywhere. I lost 30 lbs within 6 weeks. But after that you need to watch what you eat or gain it back. Fast fix with no effort.

Thank you for your response! That's great you lost the weight :) have you kept it off and did you go to a weight loss clinic or dr?

Kept it off but had to watch what I ate. Basically continue eating the same foods allowed but in larger quantity such as protein with large salad. I went to a doctor for the program. It's strict to follow but worth the sacrifice for fast weight loss.

Yea I will be seeing a doctor as well :) it's expensive!! Hope it works well for me :)

I started Docs Diet last week and am down 6 pounds so far. Woot! Woot! I have also increased my physical activity. The plan incudes monthly b-12 shot, daily appetite suppressant and a 1300 calorie diet. I normally am constantly snacking, but so far I'm doing well on this plan.

Congrats Reeree31! I've not heard of the docs diet but 1300 calories is very do able!

Thank you Mikeysgirl0528. It's doable for me under these circumstances, but I have struggled with anything below 1800 in the past. You ladies are so motivating and preparing for this process is highly motivating also. Success to us all!

As for me, for the past 3 weeks I've been eating no more than 1200 calories and burning around 400-600 calories during workouts and have not lost even 1 pound! It's ridiculous and crazy frustrating. Especially because last year after my son turned 1 I lost 20 lbs. After I lost the weight I started taking birth control pills and was still eating well and working out. Not for 6 days a week but still working hard and eating around 1600 calories as I was maintaining. Now 8 months later I've slowly gained about 10 lbs back! There's nothing that would make sense except the pills... so I'm gonna try the mini pill I think and go on the hcg diet. Wish me luck girls and continued success to everyone else!

Mikeysgirl success to you on the hgc diet. I've heard good things about it. It is frustrating when you are so diligent without the desired results as I know personally. Hang in there and keep us posted.

Mikeysgirl0528 Your body has gone into survival mode!!! Because u r not feeding your muscles and body with enough calories, everything is being stored as fat & yr metabolism is slowed right down to conserve nutrients as u r putting your body in to starvation mode. U may b eating healthy but because u r counting calories, the body is storing everything into fat cells, because u aren't eating enough to feed and repair your muscles. U need to eat 4- 6 times/day. Kickstart yr metabolism 1st thing in the morning with oats and protein shake and continue to eat every 2-3 hours, so u can burn fat all day without doing a thing!! Balanced with protein, high energy/low gi carbs and veg Or salad. No salt as it raises gi in all foods. No sauces as they're full of sodium. And no sugar. Have protein shakes 2-3 times a day. The diets u r on just make u fatter in the long run- your body needs to b constantly fuelled. And then the fat is stripped away and is easy to maintain. Good luck

Leepoh thank you for all the info and taking the time to post :) I've cut my calories down to 1200 because when I wasn't counting calories I wasn't losing either. Like you suggested I was eating 6 small meals a day, lean proteins, greens, nuts or seeds and whole grains. I learned how to feed my body after I lost the 20 lbs last year but now it seems I can't lose even 1. My only conclusion now is birth control pills, I hate them. I'm getting off of them after this pack ugh... im gonna now try the hcg diet to get rid of this weight and then try to maintain it for a while before I have surgery in june! Wish me luck :)

If u r eating a high protein diet that is balanced with protein, high energy carb plus as much veg 3 times a day, then 3 protein snacks in between, your body will strip the Kentones from your body, leaving a totally lean physique. It is not safe to do without high energy/low gi carbs for long periods. But combined it is a magical combination and it will turn back time. It is a not a Atkins diet, or carb counting diet. It pure clean eating. Check out www.foodpatrol.com.au the photos r real life and I have worked with people who have transformed themselves through this. I used it before my op. Amazing results. They have a 90 days challenge and the results r crazy. Check it out

Thank you. I'm down 34 pounds now (10.5 due to MM) and still losing. I love Docs Diet and no longer take the appetite suppressants. My body has finally agreed to the reduced intake w/out chemical support. Conk he's success to all trying to reduce prior to sx.

I am 5'7 and 150 pounds. My surgery is scheduled for May 12. I'd like to lose 10-15 pounds before my big day. I don't eat gluten or dairy and avoid processed sugar/food. I just got a fitbit and am logging steps and food.

Hello Seachic. I love fitbit! It works with other fitness apps to automatically add your activity. It is my goal also to lose 10-15 before my March 12 Mommy makeover. I'm down 4 and motivated! What exercise routine do you use?
