How Long Should the Hardness Last Post Midsection Liposuction?

By 40yearoldmom on 07 Jan 2013

I'm in my fourth week of recovery and I've been diligent about wearing the compression garment, even doubling up because I was told I needed to have a strong compression. I've lost a little bit and I like what I am seeing but I still feel a lot of hardness and presumably swelling.

I have had abdominal lipo 3 times. The hardness can last a couple months. This time I am taking Jusuru and it has helped so much. It is a patented mix of juices that has a BioCell delivery of collagen that had helped me recover so much quicker. I'm 45 and I am recovering so much faster than when I had it done in my 20's and 30's. You do have to sign up for autoship but you can cancel at anytime but take it at least 2 months. Here is a link Jusuru.com/rodamer

Hi there, welcome!

I know it's been a couple of weeks since you posted this, has the hardness and swelling gone down any, or do you still have it?

There is still some hardness in the lower section under the belly button and above it. I'm sort of thinking I'll have to have a second procedure to get the results I need. Its been 6 weeks now and I know I may have to wait until 6 months to see the final results.

Yes, I've read that full results don't come through until 6 months or so have passed. Have you had a follow-up with your doctor, to discuss your concerns and recovery?

Nothing since the first follow-up to check that I was healing and draining had stopped.

Maybe you should contact them, even by phone/email, just to ask a couple questions and put your mind at ease. I've read that it can take upto 6 months for all of the swelling to go away and the full results to come through, but if your concerned you should definitely speak with your doctor.
