How long do the results of endermologie last?

Posted 27 Apr 2006

I was browsing the dreaded swimsuit catalog and saw lots of mentions about cellulite hiding. But I don't want to just hide my cellulite, I want to get rid of it. read about endermologie cellulite treatment and how it can treat cellulite. But is this cellulite removal permanent and if not, how long do the results last?

we all seem to suffer with unwanted fat, i am 29 years old and have already tried endomologie, my cellulite is not too bad but it does bug me and i eat well and do quite alot of excersice but it seems to stay stubborn, sigh. so i opted for endomologie and i found that there was not much difference in my cellulite what so ever, i felt completely ripped of as it is quite a costly process, so be warned girls, dont hold your breath.

I would like to say that I personally have had a high success rate with endermologie as a technician. My clients lose an average of 13 inches and several pounds. If the technician does it correctly and the client is having 2 treatments a week for 9 weeks they will see results, 2 treatments will not yield any results!! A good diet and lifestyle does also help with the results but it will not make or break the treatment. Also, I have a maintenance program that I customize for each client and a body contouring short system for home use. Personalizing the treatments to target specific areas of the body will yield maximum results!!! Not all bodies are created equal and a good technician can create a wonderful program for your body. I love my lpg machine and so do my clients!

Endermologie is said to help break down the fat layer between your skin and muscles and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Skeptics feel as if the reduction in appearance of cellulite is due to the fact that your skin is swollen post procedure. Believers, and it has been super popular in Europe for years, feel that monthly treatments after the initial course of 10-14 weeks are all that is needed to maintain the results.

I personally do not know anyone that has had this treatment. I would imagine that exercise, genetics and diet are big factors in determining how well Endermologie does work. However, the risks are quite low, and if it does work, I say, sign me up.

I have cellulite on my thighs, which makes me extremely self conscious (I'm 31 years old), so I opted to have endermologie treatements. I was advised by my practitioner that I should get 8 treatments and that I would see definite results by the 5th session. Long story short, I had 8 sessions and I saw absolutely NO RESULTS. The endermologie sessions were an absolute waste of money. I would not receommned it to any woman!

Endermologie and Liposuction Dr. Marie Charlotte Cumin purchased LPG’s patented technology to bring patients in on a more regular basis and keep them coming back. Initially, I invested in LPG as a way to access an additional type of clientele, those who were not interested in surgery. Not only have my expectations been met, they have been exceeded. I have found, in addition to attracting new patients, the LPG equipment and Endermologie are extremely efficient when used in conjunction with liposuction. For example, I have seen an improvement in skin condition with my liposuction cases. I also use Endermologie during surgery to improve results in areas such as the inner calf and thigh where liposuction results tend to be unpredictable. Dr. Cumin proposes a maintenance plan to her liposuction patients involving the LPG treatment. For the first two months following surgery, the plan calls for ten treatment sessions, with one session per month after that. Women are more and more demanding now, she explains, ``The supplemental treatments improve the results of their surgery and undeniably increases their level of satisfaction.`` In those cases where patients are dissatisfied with liposuction results, Dr. Cumin has also found LPG to de of great benefit. Instead of performing a second surgical procedure for which she must bear the cost, Dr. Cumin now initiates billable Endermologie treatments and claims it is a solution that satisfies both the patient and the physician. LPG’s patented system of aspirated hypodermal mobilization is ideal for use in conjunction with liposuction. Though the procedure is simple enough for a trained nurse or technician to execute, its multiple applications used before, during and after liposuction, as well as the benefits of its whole body approach, can greatly improve results. The unique non-invasive technique offered by LPG softens connective tissues. When used before liposuction, the procedure will facilitate penetration and movement of the canula. By stimulating the natural absorption and elimination functions, LPG’s technique also significantly reduces recovery time. Once purified and decongested, tissues can be stimulated so that their natural elasticity is restored. Specific mobilizations aimed at dynamic and repetitive stretching of the elastin fibers will tone the tissues that had been distended by fat or liquid overloads for too long. LPG not only enhances the benefits of liposuction, which are restricted to specific localized areas, but provides the physician with a practical method for treating the whole body. With this approach, physiological as well as cosmetic benefits are extended, enhancing the efforts of the physician and giving the patient an increased sense of satisfaction. Besides the clinical experiments that have demonstrated the efficiency of the LPG technology, countless physicians and patients can testify to its results. Reference: Endermologie Journal issue 1

I bought a 15 treatment package, So far, I had had 3 treatments. The skin seems softer and smoother, but I have been told that you start seeing results after 6/8 treatments.
Shawka (unregistered guest) 30 Mar 2008
I would love to know where you went to get your treatments. If you still read this post, how did it turn out after you finished the treatment package?
Bexx (unregistered guest) 20 Sep 2007
Its not worth the money. I was told I needed 20 treatments to see results, and "drop" a dress size. Originally they said that I would begin to see results after 5-6 sessions, when that didnt happen they said 7-8 sessions, then 14 sessions. After the full 20 sessions they said I needed additional sessions in order to see the results. After already spending over $3,000 without any real results and no promise of when I would see them I moved to good old fashioned exercise, and already my skin is alot better.

I am a Registered Medical Technician preforming the Endermologie Treatments at a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office in Houston, Texas. I have seen tremendous change in patients when preforming the treatments alone as well as in conjunction with Liposuction. I am pleased to report that I see many happy patients with this technique. My recommendation for anyone considering endermologie is to have a consulation with a Plastic Surgeon to develop a treatment plan that works for your body. In a few cases it may be optimal to use this process in conjunction with a surgical procedure in order to reach the desired result. As with any elective procedure every person's outcome may be slightly different. It is very important to do your homework. Please feel free to contact me regarding references.

I have many clients who have had endermologie. I haven't heard any of them respond favorably. If they had any "results" it was only for a couple of days. It may be beneficial if combined with lipo (or better yet, SmartLipo) as a replacement for lymphatic drainage massage. I can't see it being beneficial long-term. No treatments have been shown to work "permanently" for SmartLipo. Up to 90% of women have cellulite to some degree. I suggest checking into the newest Thermage cellulite tip which seems to show the best option to date. Time will tell how long these results will last.

I am currently getting endermologie treatments at a local clinic and i'm on my 14th session (I have paid in advance for 20 sessions). After about 8 sessions I saw a reduction in my cellulite particularly in my lower thighs & calves and also my skin tone is much better. But after recent sessions it seems to have gotten worse - which I was warned about by the clinic as the cellulite apparently comes to the surface of the skin as part of the treatment process. According to my clinic it will improve within the next 2-3 sessions. I was told 20 sessions would be enough to make a difference so here's hoping. I did meet one of the other regular clients there, she showed me her before shots and I was amazed at the difference. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I only have a few more sessions to go and I wont be getting any more because of the price ($1800 for 20 sessions). I'll let you know how it goes...

Update on my endermologie results.... Well I've just finished 30 treatments at a cost of $2500 and I'm afraid I have been completely ripped off. After the initial 20 sessions I saw very little difference (well not $1800 worth) but my clinic said I would need a further 10 treatments to see results. Added to that they included a body wrap with each treatment which was meant to get even better results - so I went for the extra 10 treatments and I see NO CHANGE! And I am a slim girl with not that much cellulite to start off with so I can't imagine it would help anyone with very bad cellulite. I do admit my skin tone is a little better and there has been some improvement overall in my cellulite - but I suspect I'd probably get the same results from a low cost cream. If you are seriously thinking of trying Endermologie I say forget it. It is A LOT of money for very little result.

You can always reshape your body. You can also get rid of cellulite all on your own rather than pay for expensive treatments that do not work or last. It is very simple. If cellulite was not there before it doesn't have to be there now. It comes from poor diet and lack of excercise. I have had cellulite as a result from lack of exercise. When the muscle loses its tone it turns into flab resulting in the cellulite look. The bottom line is to keep yourself on a serious exercise plan an stick with it. This is the only way I have learned to beat cellulite. No product can do that for you. Therefore, it is up to you.

I agree that you can reshape your body, however, for most people it's only to a point and many of our thin and fit clients still have cellulite. It's all in the DNA. It amazes me that people who do all the right things, including great diets can still have quite a bit of the lumpy, bumpy stuff. We don't perform the endermology treatments in our building but many clients who have received it has found fabulous results. One client in particular was in on a controlled study of this treatment and only received on one side of her body and WOW! can you see a HUGE difference. Not just marginally, but greatly. We always recommend that a client who is seeking this type of TX ask the prospective clinic or technician to show before and after result pics. Many places will even provide you with contact numbers of sastified clients to as questions. True, there is now gaurantee what each individuals will be, but I have personally seen great results from our clients. I guess it comes down to the technicians technique and, like I said, the clients DNA. Ask around to your friends if any of them have had it done, where they went, their personal results. What do you do if you find a bad doctor? You look for another one, usually by asking your friends and co-workers.

I've had 10 sessions so far. I'm 5'5" and 115#. I still have tons of cellulite but it's definitely better. My skin is firmer and smoother. I think the cellulite part is the hardest to improve. My endermologist mentions something as hard celullite is easier than soft. I have soft obviously. I've an inch off my hips and 0.5in off my waist which for someone my size is significant. I'm plan to continue going and will post my results. I would say as of now it has improved.

How are your results coming along? Can you tell me what machine your endermologist uses. We are interested in starting this procedure by popular demand and are looking around for an awesome machine. And, it sounds like you're pleased with your results. Thank you for you time, kc esthetician
