Hi everyone, I have just joined this forum as I am researching into cellulite treatment. Has anyone tried the Macom Crystal Smooth leggings? I am unsure about surgical treatment and would be much happier just wearing the leggings if they actual banish cellulite! x

I love endermologie but it gets expensive to maintain. I see it creeping back after a month but I go for maintenance treatments every six weeks

Like most women I have my own struggles with little bouts of cellulite. Sometimes it no matter how hard you work on it to prevent it, it will inevitably appear just before beach season. Awww! I stumbled upon this article, it really open my eyes with so many different issues of cellulite. I realized now that some weird creams and lotion won't do it. To get rid of your cellulite, you have to go through a series of simple but powerful targeted lower-body movements.

The word, “cellulite”, was coined several decades ago, in a European beauty-spa, as bumpy, uneven and dimpled appearance of skin in butt, thigh, legs, and other lower parts of the body. The truth is you cannot get rid of the dimples and shadows (cellulite) by rubbing some weird creams and lotion. I too thought creams were the only way to get rid of cellulite. However, I did some research online. I found this interesting article and I was surprised to learn how ineffective they are. Believe it or not, cellulite is not a skin problem. Since cellulite is actually a structural issue you can get reduce or get rid of it. The article goes into more detail about how to do that, without buying anything expensive :O)

How do you get rid of them or reduce them? What did the article say do?

Hormonal imbalances plays an important part in the development of cellulite. Puberty is a hormonal imbalance that is why many girls develop cellulite during this time. Some women are more skeptical due to weight, poor circulation, weaker skin or detoxifying problems. Any changes to female hormones can cause cellulite including taking the contraceptive pill and pregnancy. Speaking from my own personal experience I found a new way to help me with my struggles on cellulite and i am loving it!

I'm 43 -- after not working out with any consistency for years and years, having a sedentary job, poor circulation, and eating obscene amounts of cheese on a weekly basis, I ended up with a butt load (pun intended ;-)) of cellulite. But the cellulite wasn't confined to my butt -- it had also spread down my thighs). My skin was also starting to loosen a bit from age. I was afraid I might have let my situation get so far out of hand that I might not be able to fix it. But I started Bar Method (super intense workout) in late January and endermologie in February (have now had 8 treatments -- bought a package of 14). It definitely works for me -- I'm thrilled with my results so far (visibly less cellulite, tighter skin, improved skin tone in stretch marked areas). Endermologie alone, however, will not do the trick if you eat a lot of salt and saturated fat or if you don't drink enough water -- you also have to eat clean and drink LOADS of water (and exercise). :-)

I've had 10 sessions so far. I'm 5'5" and 115#. I still have tons of cellulite but it's definitely better. My skin is firmer and smoother. I think the cellulite part is the hardest to improve. My endermologist mentions something as hard celullite is easier than soft. I have soft obviously. I've an inch off my hips and 0.5in off my waist which for someone my size is significant. I'm plan to continue going and will post my results. I would say as of now it has improved.

How are your results coming along? Can you tell me what machine your endermologist uses. We are interested in starting this procedure by popular demand and are looking around for an awesome machine. And, it sounds like you're pleased with your results. Thank you for you time, kc esthetician

i hear you can lose weight with it, if you drink a lot of water and exercise it's easier to loes weight/ all the before and afters look like they lost a lot of weight with it, so I'm confused. this or smart lipo?

You can always reshape your body. You can also get rid of cellulite all on your own rather than pay for expensive treatments that do not work or last. It is very simple. If cellulite was not there before it doesn't have to be there now. It comes from poor diet and lack of excercise. I have had cellulite as a result from lack of exercise. When the muscle loses its tone it turns into flab resulting in the cellulite look. The bottom line is to keep yourself on a serious exercise plan an stick with it. This is the only way I have learned to beat cellulite. No product can do that for you. Therefore, it is up to you.

I agree that you can reshape your body, however, for most people it's only to a point and many of our thin and fit clients still have cellulite. It's all in the DNA. It amazes me that people who do all the right things, including great diets can still have quite a bit of the lumpy, bumpy stuff. We don't perform the endermology treatments in our building but many clients who have received it has found fabulous results. One client in particular was in on a controlled study of this treatment and only received on one side of her body and WOW! can you see a HUGE difference. Not just marginally, but greatly. We always recommend that a client who is seeking this type of TX ask the prospective clinic or technician to show before and after result pics. Many places will even provide you with contact numbers of sastified clients to as questions. True, there is now gaurantee what each individuals will be, but I have personally seen great results from our clients. I guess it comes down to the technicians technique and, like I said, the clients DNA. Ask around to your friends if any of them have had it done, where they went, their personal results. What do you do if you find a bad doctor? You look for another one, usually by asking your friends and co-workers.

rubbish, its the way your body houses the fat stores. Diet and exercise can help a little but I work out 10 hours a week and run 30-40 miles too and have it all over thighs and bum and weigh 104lb You can not spot reduce or reshape actual cellulite yourself, only the fat and muscle and not the fiberous tissues that trap the top layer of fat

I am currently getting endermologie treatments at a local clinic and i'm on my 14th session (I have paid in advance for 20 sessions). After about 8 sessions I saw a reduction in my cellulite particularly in my lower thighs & calves and also my skin tone is much better. But after recent sessions it seems to have gotten worse - which I was warned about by the clinic as the cellulite apparently comes to the surface of the skin as part of the treatment process. According to my clinic it will improve within the next 2-3 sessions. I was told 20 sessions would be enough to make a difference so here's hoping. I did meet one of the other regular clients there, she showed me her before shots and I was amazed at the difference. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I only have a few more sessions to go and I wont be getting any more because of the price ($1800 for 20 sessions). I'll let you know how it goes...

Update on my endermologie results.... Well I've just finished 30 treatments at a cost of $2500 and I'm afraid I have been completely ripped off. After the initial 20 sessions I saw very little difference (well not $1800 worth) but my clinic said I would need a further 10 treatments to see results. Added to that they included a body wrap with each treatment which was meant to get even better results - so I went for the extra 10 treatments and I see NO CHANGE! And I am a slim girl with not that much cellulite to start off with so I can't imagine it would help anyone with very bad cellulite. I do admit my skin tone is a little better and there has been some improvement overall in my cellulite - but I suspect I'd probably get the same results from a low cost cream. If you are seriously thinking of trying Endermologie I say forget it. It is A LOT of money for very little result.

I have many clients who have had endermologie. I haven't heard any of them respond favorably. If they had any "results" it was only for a couple of days. It may be beneficial if combined with lipo (or better yet, SmartLipo) as a replacement for lymphatic drainage massage. I can't see it being beneficial long-term. No treatments have been shown to work "permanently" for SmartLipo. Up to 90% of women have cellulite to some degree. I suggest checking into the newest Thermage cellulite tip which seems to show the best option to date. Time will tell how long these results will last.

Hi Doc, i had smart lipo 1 1/2 years ago, i had exceptional results, but after moving to a different country i have managed to gain a few pounds back. Would endermologie work for me even after so long? the weight i have gained can be 'easily' removed with a very strict diet and hard cardio, but id like to know if it would work for me or at least help push me in the right direction to lose the weight ? Thank you

I have had 16 treatments of endermologie, it did not make a bit of difference.
