I am considering using local anesthesia instead of general because im scared to go under but im also scared of feeling pain during the procedure if I decide to go with the local. Any advice ladies?!

Hi suzy! The same thing happened to me when I had a C-section with my son. I was laying there and felt no pain but I could feel my toes here and there and it made me freak out a little. Well at least I wont feel pain. Thank you for writting. It really helps :)
I had my BBL on April 2, 2012 and had a spinal block with conscious sedation. I did not feel any pain but from time to time I could hear the procedure going on but nothing to alarming. The spinal was from the upper thoracic lumbar. The only thing that freaked me out was not being able to move my legs directly after the surgery.... but that faded within I'd ay 10 to 15 minutes

Hi Larzate,

Here are a few reviews from ladies who had BBL with local anesthetic. Most of them say it was worth it, so it is possible! Also, I know Brazilan Princess was planning to do BBL w/ local too, so feel free to send her a PM and see what she has to say.

Hope this helps!
