Lipo Zap class action lawsuit

I received the lipozip treatment back in 2008 which they promised me there are no side effects with this particular treatment. After the treatment I notice there are swollen at certain areas so I called the clinic but they kind of bursh me off and tell me that is normal. The next time I called Sherman Oak location they went out of business. Now even after few years later I still have muscle pain and bumps in certain area. Does anyone have the same problem? where can I get help? I would also like to join the class action suit.

I only received my "test" treatment and then decided not to have lipozap done. I called Tustin office and was assured my application for Care Credit was cancelled. Now I am making small payments to a collection agency because I have trying to dispute this for years. I have been trying to call the Law office with no call back as of yet. I hope to get in touch with Kathryn A. to join class action suit.

Oh My God, I have been looking for an answer and I just found it.
Ladies, is it too late to get into this class action. I paid them 3520, received one session, got a sever allergic reaction. Called them for refund, they pass me around with 10 differnet email, until one day the phone was disconnected and they were out of business. I paid with my credti card and did not know what to do. Can someone help me?

I had my procedure scheduled last year in April. Paid $3000.00 up front. Called 1 week before my scheduled appt. and got an answering machine, left msgs. with any replies. Then later got recording that they were no longer in business.! According to the testimonies I've read, I'm glad that I didn't have anything done afterall - HOWEVER! - - - I didn't get any of my money back. I did receive a letter from them stating that I was due a refund. I did receive a check for $2400.00 + a credit voucher from Care Credit. They knew nothing of this, but were very helpful and returned all that I had already paid to them. Turns out the refund check from LIPOZAP bounced! I'm out $3000.00! I would definately like to learn more about this class action suit and what I need to get involved! thanks for starting the ball rolling - I had given up!

I went in to lasershaping in sherman oaks, and I was charged 6,534.00 for treatment and when I was on line I saw all fo the complaints, and that they were gone so I called and sure enough their phone was a disconect. and I would like to file a suite against these people. they never did any thing at all for me but took my money throug care credit

Hello everyone: It's Kathi. Since starting this law suit some time ago I have beenn waiting for the damage to go away. The lumps and bruise like color is still there. I have finally found a doctor in Newport Beach that I started treating with and after one treatment I can already see a difference. The lumps are smaller and the color is lighter. I have this all over my butt and side of legs and arms. If you would like to know the doctors information please let me know. The cost is low also. Good Luck to all with what these people did to us.

Ladies I've noticed that many of you are trying to find ways to surgically correct what lipozap did. Haven't we been through enough? I wanted to share with you what has been working for me the last few months. I have putting retin A (skin lighener) on my areas and massaging the saddlebags and nodules in the shower and sometimes when I am sitting down on the couch. I've also started brushing my skin (look it up on the internet) which is big in the natural and detoxing communities. I've noticed a difference. The bruising and cellulite (which lipozap swore to improve) and gradually gone down. Not away...but down. The nodules are also getting better also. It's not a difference that you can see overnight, but there is a difference.

I have come to the conclusion I am going to have to go to another Dr to have this corrected on my body. The physical damage will not go away. Has anyone gone to a Dr yet to have this done? Thank you

Hi it's me again, I sent a comment on I think it was 9/19/08 I was charged $4671 through care credit for a full procedure when only half was performed - with of course horrible results. Well GOOD NEWS....I got all my money back even the amount that was to cover the 1/2 of the procedure that was done. I complained of the defective results and got my money back. So I HIGHLY recommend if you went with a company like CARE CREDIT - FIGHT IT- the worst they can say is no-your already stuck with the BILL anyway! IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE RESULTS FILE THE CLAIM WITH CARE CREDIT - EVEN IF THE WHOLE PROCEDURE WAS DONE - SEE IF YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK I DID!! :)

I just read everybody's email. Wow so yeah me too! They charged me $4671 for a procedure that was supposed to be done in two different sessions however, they went out of business before they could give me the second session. I did go with care credit so I'm filing a dispute with them! I also contacted the attorney because like many of you have explained I have lumps all over my abdominal area. Well I hope something happens - because this sounds like a company that had no business providing or offering a service that they were obviously no good at! Oh and by the way during my procedure they had the assistant do some-thought it was odd at the time-and my results show it!!!

Hey Everyone. I was suckered in too. Really sucks because I was hoping lipozap would help! But never had a chance to do the lipozap. Can someone send me the link for the class action suit. Like all of you, I too am part of this scam. I signed up for 3 areas in January 2008 and barely even started with any of the treatments before I got that same call telling me that my appointment had been cancelled and that they were no longer in business. I thought something was fishy when I tried to make an appointment in June and was told that they were booked for the entire month and didn't have the July schedule out yet. Sounds to me like they knew something was going on before it happened. It is so irritating that a company can do this and think that they will get away with it. I would like to added to the class action lawsuit. Luckily, I went with the no payments for 12mo option through Care Credit and have been in contact with them to dispute the charges. Hopefully this will work. Thank you for everyone that has taken the time to research this further and get the class action lawsuit started. I know everyone will really appreciate it once this mess is handled and MedAesthetica gets what they deserve. If anybody gets any new information please keep us posted.

Hi everyone, I guess I feel some sort fo relief to see that my incident i not an isolated one.I too signed up for this nonsense oin May of 2007 and did my first treatment in Sherman Oaks. They then opened up thier Newport location and everytime I go in for an appoinment, there seemt o be something that was changed and no longer going to be done, eg, no more innner thigh, no more back of the arm adn no more vela smooth prior to the shots. I was a littel irritated as I felt like a test lab rat and these are things that they should have figured out before selling. I also had imcompetent nurses and that like many of you, burned my skin and left me with a permamnet mark and pigmentation and I had had it when they used a much larger needle and hurt me badly telling me that the normal needle had not come in yet. A nurse evaluated me and understood my concerns and assured me that they will start working on the refund that was due for treatment not complete and I was going to get vela smooth treamnet worth 90 minutes. I called my consultant to tell her that I want all this resolved before June of this year so the interest in care credit will not activate and I want to pay it off. IT never happened and I now owe and additional $1000 on the care credit with now finance chages showing even if I make my monthy payment diligently so my credit isaffected. Please include me or give me any information for the lawsuit. They cannot get away with this. Thanks everyone and good luck.

I am very interested if you found out if there is a class action lawsuit. I've tried everything to get reimbursed. I've even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

HELLO... I ALSO AM HAVING A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MEDAESTHICA MEDICAL GROUP (LIPOZAP). I WAS TOLD I WAS GOING TO BE REFUNDED 100% OF MY MONEY BACK IF I SAW NO RESULTS. WELL GUESS WHAT? NO RESULTS AND NO MONEY BACK! I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I SPOKE TO ONE OF THE REPRESENTATIVES TODAY AND INFORMED ME THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLIES FROM THE COMPANY AND THAT THIS COMPANY WAS NOW CLOSED...SHE ADVISED OPENING A CLAIM WITH SMALL CLAIMS BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S GOING TO WORK.CAN ANYBODY HELP ME OUT. I PAID $3500 CASH FOR THIS "LIPOZAP" AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP... --SANDRA
