Revision Rhinoplasty: Forum
Post to Forum

I would like to know anyone's experience who had a revision with rib or ear cartilage.

I am going to need a revision to raise my bridge which was made to low and flat and fix my tip which was made to narrow and oddly shaped...and fix the retracted nostrils... basically rebuild the whole nose. I wanted to know how painful this is? Was this done open or closed? Are you happy with the result, was it worth it? Who was you Doctor? Thank you!

Yep a agree with you,
However, I was put down recently by gunternose, after 4 years his grafts wraped!!
It's really dispointing :(

Angeimecc.. When was your last revision rhinolppasty?

Hi every one
I have the same problem, confused which graft to use.
The negative reviews about grafts, Is it related to what type of graft or the doctores skills??

Really it's confusing

It's related to both. I think generally using your own tissues gives you fewer problems than using a gore-tex, etc. graft. You definitely want to find a surgeon who's done a lot of similar surgeries.

I really don't want to scare you, but my experience with ear cartilage graft was really bad.I regret that I had this revision with ear cartilage. Please read my review.

Hi there! I had that done with cartilage from my ear. It actually went better than my initial rhinoplasty. Better surgeon, I think. My ear was probably more painful than my nose after surgery, but very manageable. My rhinoplasty was open. I am happy with the result, but wish I'd had cartilage put on both sides of my nose. The other side has now collapsed, but I don't have it in me to go through another rhinoplasty.

You can see my review here.

Hope this helps!
