I am having the LSL procedure done in Clayton Missouri and would like info on anyone who has had it done there and the results and doctor who did it.
3/11/07
I was scheduled for March 13 but cancelled after reading the reviews. What price did they quote you? You will not get your deposit back if you cancel.

I am also scheduled for the LSL in Clayton. My pre-surgery appointment is on March 21. I have heard so many negatives about this procedure I think I will also cancel. I paid 10% of 5600.00 (was having my eyes done at the same time as the facelift) Has anyone had a good experience at this office? The real frightening part is they did tell me these were NOT Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. Only trained in this one procedure by LSL. HELP!!!! My time is getting close.

Mine is scheduled for March 28th. I was quoted 5600.00 for the facelift and the bags under my eyes. I had to pay 560.00. Do you feel you made the right choice in cancelling? Think I am going to do the same.

I had the Lifestyle Lift (plus eyes) done by Dr. {edited} last June, and I'm asolutely thrilled with the result. I would have it done again in a heartbeat. It took about 20 years off my appearance, and I feel so much better about myself. It's done marvels for my self-esteem, as well as my looks. Of course, everyone is an individual, and results cannot be guaranteed. I can only tell you that it worked wonders for me and is worth every penny!

I had the Lifestyle Lift procedure and my upper and lower lids done by Dr. {edited} a little over one year ago. I was a bit apprehensive about getting the procedures done after reading so many "mixed" reviews on internet blogs. After much contemplation and prayer I decided to go for it. I not only look 15 to 20 years younger but feel 20 years younger. It's a joy to put my make-up on and wear my necklaces again. Believe half of what you "read" and all of what you SEE. I met and talked to previous LSL patients who had the procedure done. Seeing is believing. Do thorough research and follow your heart...and your face and neck will follow:) PS Don't let fear get the best of you.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm about 8 weeks from surgery and feeling so nervous after reading the mixed reviews. I feel that my doctor is well respected and seasoned in doing these surgeries. I hope to feel as good as you with my results. Could you tell me a little more about what to expect with having my lower eyes done? Swelling,. bruising.....not sure what to expect. Thanks!
4/7/07
Expect bruising and swelling for up to 2 weeks. Purchase 2 gel eyemask (as I was advised by my consultant) along with lacrilube to keep the incision under you eyes moist. Also after you heal, expect NOT to be asdked by others if you are tired. It's all good! Best of luck to you!

I want to do this but I have nasal folds and i dont think this will help them it looks like it just the neck...

my mom had lipo under her chin with the lifestyle lift, she is really starting to look better, but today is day 5 and the left side of her mouth is still drooping like she had a stroke, and her eyelid still won't shut? she also was VERY mislead, she thought she would have a small incision by her ear ,but she ended up with a whole lot of stiches in the front of her ears, and she was told she go grocery shopping by day 2, which is not even close to the truth! she really liked Dr. Faries and he said that if she had any problems to please call his cell, which they have and he does answer and says all is normal. she is just really worried about the her mouth and if their might be some nerve damage.

Sam1942, did you have the procedure? What is your experience? Thanks!!
4/22/07
Could you please tell me how painful the procedure was? Did you have anything other than local injections? I would like to know what to expect. Thanks for takinging time to respond.
4/27/07
It does not hurt while the procedure is being done. I think I might have temporarily fallen asleep. However in the beginning, to numb the area, they do use several needle sticks to inject the numbing medication, and that does hurt. That part is over quick though. I didn't find the pain afterwards unbearable, at all. Sort of like having your wisdom teeth removed. Very important the first week to use ice on the swelling as much as you can possibly stand it. It makes a huge difference.

I'm looking for people to share their experiences with Dr. Farias performing the LSL. I am scheduled for the procedure in a few days and I would like any and all information regarding pain during and after and recovery time. In addition, how would you rate Dr. Farias? His credentials look good. He is highly trained in plastic surgery as far as I can tell. Any/all information is most appreciated. Thanks

I did have this same procedure and I'm so very sorry. I was told I would have a small incision by my ear and I ended up with stiches to the top front of my ear and same on the back and now I have scars and can not wear my hair behind my ears unless I use consealer and a lot of it. I had my procedure March 06 and the scars are streaching, I hate it. The doctor just didn't care, didn't say word when he left the room. I had to have one side of my face drained. The shots were very painful and the doctor was singing like he didn't have a care in the world!!

I had a LSL consultation in St. Louis and was very uncomfortable with the high pressure techniques of the "sales person". The thing that really swayed me away from going through with it was the fact that the Dr. performing the procedure was not board certified. I also was turned off by the fact when I asked if any of the pictures you are shown were actual surgeries performed by THIS doctor, my consultant said,"well, some of them might be"!! In other words, she had no idea, and I took that to mean, they probably weren't! I think people are lured in by the $4000.00, but if you break this down by the hour, this is a very expensive procedure. 4 weeks ago I had a "real" facelift performed by a board certified plastic surgeon, my upper eyes done and a neck lift/lipo. The cost for this was $12,000.00, and it took almost 7 hours to perform. Granted this is much more expensive than the liftstyle lift, but if you do the math I feel I got much more for my money and I couldn't be happier with the results!! I know 2 people in St. Louis who have had the LSL performed with less than wonderful results. One has puckering under her ear due to a poor stitching job. How can you expect a surgeon to be detailed oriented in an hour long procedure?? Another has horrific scarring, also due to poor stitching. I know there are a lot of people who are happy with their results, and reputable doctors performing the LSL, but I feel with any cosmetic surgery, the best thing to do is get personal doctor referrals from reputable people who are pleased with their results and not be swayed by advertising. Just my two cents......

I had the lifestyle lift on Thursday, 9/13/07 by Dr, {edited} in his Clayton office. I am "extremely" pleased with the results, and I have at least two friends (maybe more) who want me to escort them to Clayton for this procedure. Dr. {edited}' nurse will give you as many valium at fifteen minute intervals as it takes to make you more comfortable prior to the procedure. Yes, the shots are uncomfotable, comparable to shots at the dentist's office, but hardly unbearable. There still is some tightness afterwards, but its only been ten days, and this was explained ahead of time. The staff will answer any questions you have, and probably some you didn't even think of. Go for it!

I read your comment on the life style lift and you seemed pleased with it. My appointment is Friday May 9, 2008. I have read some good and some bad things about it and am a little nervous. Are you still pleased with the results? If you get a chance please write back.

I went through with my life style lift on 5/22/08. I think I am going to be happy with it I had just my lower fsce and neck firming done. It is a little more evasive than they tell you in the beginningand you have to wear a elastic bandage under your chin and around your head for a week just to hold every thing in place. I am 10 days into my surgery and still have some swelling and bruising around my ears and my neck. They say this not unusual for the first three weeks but they don't tell you that before you have it. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me {edited - you can be contacted through private messaging that's available to registered users} I will try and send some pictures.

Today, I canceled and asked for a refund.
The reason is ....research and gut feeling.
The office appears very disorganized, dirty, and the staff appears overwhelmed. Most of the staff had on dirty wrinkled clothes and made me feel like a part of an assembly line.
The doctor kept saying " does that make sense?". What am I ????
I doubt if there is licenced nurse on the premises.
So, my face is so very important to me ! I don't want to be very sorry.
I haven't heard anyting good about the place. Everyone tells me the cell phone thing is such a scam...he does not answer his cell phone. If you start to bleed or get an infection...good luck.

Cheerleader,
I had my Lifestyle lift on 5/22/08 and I am very pleased with the results. I found everyone to be very nice and the Dr. was Great and he does answer his cell phone after the office is closed not during working hours. I did find the recovery to be a little more than they explain to you on your first consoltation. You are not ready to go out shopping yet after 2 days like some said. My fave is still bruised some behind my hearsand around my cheeks but they say give it 3 weeks I am sure it will be gone by then. If you have any questions please feel free to reply.

We can't be talking about the same place. The cell phone number I was given was the Doctors, and was answered each and every time I called. My results have been wonderful so far and my doctor and his staff were great.
