Has anyone out there had a lifestyle lift in the Phoenix area?
Any information on the Phoenix Lifestyle Lift experience would be much appreciated.

Hi Denise
I am going in for a consultation on the 30th of December. Have had your procedure yet? I too am wanting to get some information on the phoenix area lifestyle lift Doctors available. I read about two of them , one was a woman , last name Henderson who sounded awesome, she seemed to have alot of reconstructive plastic surgery background. I went to Sensational Skin in Scottsdale had filler injections , Iam not happy with the results at all, very bumpy on one side and it actually created more wrinkles on that side.
I decided to go ahead and give the lifestyle lift a try so I am just researching now. Let me know if you have any information on any of the doctors on in the Phoenix metro area.
Nancy

Nancy - I too live in phoenix area and I was thinking about a lifestyle lift.
can you let me know how the consultation goes?
How much was the quoted cost of the procedure? Did you like the doctor? etc... thank you! #tammy#

I am having the same concerns as all of you. I am scheduled to have both the lift and my eyes done by Dr. Duane Martin. He was very pleasant at our meeting, but when pulling up his bio I noticed he is not certified in facial plastic surgery....only general surgery and Otolarynology. I was originally scheduled to do this in April, but they have an opening NOW and I am not sure if this is the right thing. DOes anyone know anything about this doc?

Tammy
I am sorry I never got back with you. I have been ill with viral pnemonia and did not make it to my appointment.
I would like to reschedule. I am still looking for anyone in the Phoenix Metro area who have had the LSL and have anything to share.

I have had an initial consultation at the office of Dr.Duane Martin, am scheduled to meet the doctor Feb 9th with lsl and upper and lower eyelid surgery on Feb 22nd in his Scottsdale, AZ office. Have emailed the AZ Board of Plastic Surgeons to check his records, will let you know what I find out, but am upset that he does not appear to be a board cert. plastic surgeon, which is what I was told by his "consultant". Has anyone had the procedure done by him, am very interested!!

I am looking for info from others who have had the LSL done in the Phoenix area. How was your experience? Satisfied with the results? Cost vs. discomfort/pain? Was it worth it?
1/29/07
I read with interest all the dialogue regarding the LSL. Does anyone have first hand experience with this procedure in the Phoenix area?
2/21/07
I had the Lifestyle Lift 4 weeks ago in Phoenix. It took about 8 days for the swelling to go down, but with the pain medication and ice packs I cam through it just fine. I am happy with the results. I am 58 years old and a former heavy smoker. My neck and jowels are gone, my skin looks smoother and though it did not remove the lines around my mouth and chin, they are better. I would do it again.
2/21/07
i am going for a consult in one hour--2/21/07--what was the pain like during and after?
2/21/07
The only pain I experienced during the procedure were the shots you receive and it was not that bad. After the procedure when the medication starts to wear off, you do have some pain, but you take medication for that and you also keep a pressure bandage around your head and neck area which to me helped. Also make sure you follow the directions they give you because you really do have to use ice and after the third day you will apply warm wash cloths to you incesion areas. It really is not that bad and for me the results are worth it. Remember though it takes about 8 days for the swelling to go down and you will look a bit puffy for a week.
Good Luck!
2/22/07
thanks for your information. . .I enjoyed the consult--I am scheduled with Dr. Weiss in May, but am wondering if I should request Dr. Henderson-since you had such a good result. Do you know anything about Dr. Weiss' results?
thanks again for this info. . .

Alice, I don't mean to pry, but could you give me a ballpark figure for the cost of the procedure? Approximately what are we talking about?
2/24/07
Louise, I paid $4,000 for the lift and I was happy to pay it. I was quoted by another surgeon $20,000 for a full face lift and I really don't think I would have had any better results. Included in that $20,000 was an upper and lower eye lift and to tell you the truth after the Lifestyle Lift I don't feel I need to do anything else, my eyes look better. The only other work I would have done is possibly some fat injections in the wrinkles around my mouth.
If you need any other information just ask.
3/2/07
Is it possibe for insurance to pay for a facelift. I know this is probably a dumb question but I did not know if there were any exceptions.
3/5/07
I doubt that your insurance company will pay for your lift, but it never hurts to ask. I have skin cancer and my insurance company paid for a chemical peel, so you just never know.

Hi Michael:
Ask for Dr Henderson
She has over 15 years exp. she did me 6 days ago. Took 4 hours. Eyes, face and all.
I too was thinking about what the best might be. After research I decided to go this way.
I too only wanted all but eyes but after my first apt. I knew I wanted eyes also.
Good luck

I can't find online anywhere that describes the Lifestyle Lift procedure. Where are the incisions? What exactly does the physician do to your face? Is the procedure invasive? Is skin cut away? Please inform me and many others who are interested in more information. Thanks.
4/5/07
Louise - Dr. Henderson cut in front of the ear and in back of the ear. I had the procedure done in January. Excess skin is cut off you cannot even see the scars in front of the ear the ones on the back are still a bit red but mending well. The front ones from what I can tell are just inside the ear.
4/9/07
His name is Duane Martin, M.D. My wife is scheduled for tomorrow a.m. with him

I had Dr. {edited} and she treated me with straight fwd open minded answers to all my questions. I had a hard time sleeping on my side after the procedure and still have a bit of pain to try to do so. The swelling is still present in the temple and ear area. The scars are minimal and healing very nicely. I was so disappointed that I did not heal as quickly as the women on the infomercials and when I asked why I had not done so. The nurse told me that is very rare that anyone does and the infomercial will be edited to take off the remark the client made about going to work the following day. I was told to take about 10 days off to recouperate and was very glad I did. I was not pressured into the procedure.I took about 3 months to think it over before having it done in March of 2007. I still have significant soreness behing my ears and slight pain in my upper lids. It slightly stings to apply cremes. I am glad to say that Iam still hopeful of a very full recovery. It is just not as speedy as I had thought it would be. I have very nice results so far and exspect to have a beautiful result after all my swelling is gone. I find the Arnica Montana to be very helpful and eases my soreness, along with Tylenol. Nothing major, painwise. I just wish I had been told the duration is very different for all patients. No two women are alike. Over all; I am glad I did this and hope to be fully recovered by the end of May. Which is only about 3 months total and a good time estimation for everyone to lean towards rather than the miracle couple days! It is far more realistic and will save other patients the disapointment of a longer recovery time. While there may very well be someone who can! She is a tough cookie if she really does! I am too vain to do so! I had cute black eyes that are very minimal today but deffinitly hung in there! My brusing was very slight and I had the greenish yellow tint the next day until the 13th or 14th day. It was easily covered with make up. Other than this I will be thinking about some skin resurfacing to finish off my rejuvination goal. Good luck to you and ask questions! Befor you do anything to yourself! These Dr.s are great and will cater to your fears and give you truthful educated answers!

Hi Nancy, I happened upon this website and noticed that you live in Sedona. I live in Cottonwood, Az and I had my procedure done March 21, 2007. Dr. Martin in Phoenix did my surgery. I had my eyes and the facelift done. I had virtually no bruising, but I took arnica montana and rutin 7 days before surgery. I would say that the first 5 days are a bit uncomfortable, but I can tell you that I did not suffer "pain" per se. Your face feels quite tight and I stayed in bed for a week. I was very comfortable. It is now abou 2-1/2 weeks post surgery and I look 20 years younger. I am 51 and feel wonderful. I would certainly do this again in a heartbeat. If you would like, you can e-mail me at {edited} and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

My girlfriend had this procedure in Phoenix. She is horrified at the scars and I am trying to hide my horror when looking at her. This Dr. considers self to be a PHYSICIAN! This woman is ruined, my heart just cries for her disfigurement and sorrow.
4/14/07
I have posted this DOMINO to warn other victims to not sit in on one of your sales pitches. Contrary to what you are posting and advertising then putting potential sales clients in a room with a movie playing displaying over joyed customers, the truth is the scars are huge, run way behind the ear, low and not as you promote to follow the outline of the ear. As your pictures show, no one with a short hairdo should consider this. In fact do not even plan on wearing your hear up ever again.
Now why would I need to be supportive if she were happy with the "slight" scar. Competing plastic surgeon, no afraid not. A plastic surgeon would not compete for this type of shoddy work.
4/14/07
how old was you when you got this done? I am 43 thinking of getting this done. Just for my neck area only.. do you have any pictures of the scares? I am just interested. was it really painfull? did you pay alot? also is it still holding up for you... In one of these relpys a lady had it done & in 5 mths you couldn't tell that she had it done. went back in & got a second one done & that didn't hold up either... nobodys says thier age in these .. I don't know if it makes a diff. but just wanted to know how you are doing..
Thank U
Angie
4/14/07
Sandy, What effect does arnica montana and rutin have on your recovery? Did your physician recommend this prior to surgery? And did you really have to "stay in bed" for a week, or just stay at home? Thanks for the info.
4/14/07
I cannot tell any difference other than terrible scarring on her. The benefits last as long as you remained swollen, then it all drops. Have you ever seen a Dr's name on their door, anywhere outside the building, inside the reception area any place besides cards. See any diplomas proudly displayed by the physicians there? Do not believe the age really matters, as each person ages at a different pace. Do not know what you mean by just neck area only.
4/16/07
I had my procedure done in late Feb. and it did take almost 10-12 days to look pretty normal. My face swelled and there was slight bruising. In two weeks I really looked good and was wearing my makeup and you could not see the scars in front of my ears. I use mederma for scarring and it works well. I wear very short hair and it is not noticeable.
All in all the first week of discomfort was well worth it. (I would suggest you stock up on some soup the first day after surgery as I could hardly open my mouth. Chinese food takes a good second place.) There really was no serious pain involved. Plan on at least 10-12 days time for healing if you are a working person. I still have some discomfort around my ears when I sleep but it gets better every day.

Does LSL do any procedures that involve the eyes?
4/16/07
I hate when people sit and watch tv and see a commercial on stuff that no one buys. Why csan't we just focus on things that we want to buy? That is not a question, but a statement of the current situation of media and its by products.
4/16/07
HEY GUEST. Please leave! This forum belongs to honest people and not guests! Your husband is probably a competing doctor and likes to rip people off w/higher fees. Thank God for the LSL! I could not afford plastic surgery and what they did for me I will be in debt for life!!!
4/17/07
WOW--this forum is like the wild west.
Just to clear the air---all physicians at Lifestyle Lift have their certifications on the walls of each center and also post them on the web at lifestylelift.com. If you dig deep enough, you can see that some are from prestigous backgrounds like Harvard Medical and a couple have been past presidents and board members of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Currently there are over 80 specialized doctors on staff that perform this one and only procedure. To date, over 60,000 people have had it done.
It's painfully obvious that there are people on the web feeding the rumor mill.
It is very unfortunate that people looking for information now have to be able to distinguish between what is real and what is not.
If you are considering a procedure, my advice is to talk to a doctor, any doctor, it does not have to be lifestyle lift--- and ask to see patients and do not listen to anonymous people posting conspiracy theories.
Lifesytyle Lift also holds open houses where they ask former patients to be there to show the results and where the incisions are made.
The next open house is April 26th
4/19/07
I used Anica Montana and Rutin prior and after surgery along with vitamin C. Your doctor will give you a list of supplements to take prior and after surgery. You do not have to stay in bed for a week, I stayed home for a week after surgery but the only reason I did not go out was because I looked puffy - word to the wise use ice a lot the first few days that will keep the swelling down - I looked like a pumpkin the first few days. I had the procedure done in January and I am very happy with the results. Dr. Henderson did my Lifestyle Lift.

Hi,
I am still scheduled with Dr. Weiss--after meeting with him I feel pretty confident--but truly am not sure I can tolerate so very many lidocane shots with NO numbing help on the skin (even Dentists numb the gums before injecting)--SO, I wanted to ask you again if you think the injections are okay--The Dr. doesn't hide the fact that the injections can be difficult for some. . .
also, have you heard from others about the "lasting effects" of this kind of lift--these blogs make one re-consider when you read about some who feel they look the same after only 3 - 6 months???
thanks! diane
5/9/07
The shots do hurt a bit but not bad, they give you a sedative prior to the injections so that does ease the pain a bit. I had mine done in January and I am still happy with the results but like anything else everyone has different expectations and results so it is just a chance we all take. Good Luck!
6/5/07
How was your wife's surgery with Dr. Martin?
6/27/07
I haven't been to this guy, but I would be very careful not seeing a plastic surgeon. How much is he ogin to charge you? Anyone know of any ways to get insurance to pay for any of this? LOL

I am an English teacher from Mesa, and I had a consultation at LSL last week. My sister had the procdure done yesterday, and I have been thinking seriously about getting it done (obviously, since I had the consult, which cost me $400 deposit.) We'll see how my sis does, and I'll go from there.
However, I am very concerned after reading all the posts on this site (I have also read all of San Diego's posts, as well as Seattle's.)
As I said, I am an English teacher, so my job is to study people's writing styles, and what concerns me is that the people who post on these sites who are so totally excited about the LSL seem, to me, like employees of LSL. They always talk about how important it is to follow the directions (duh!! I think we already know that!) and--at least in Seattle--they talk about how important it is to "do your research." Plus, they get hostile when someone expresses concern--like the guy above who was concerned about how horrifying his girlfriend looked. To me, he seemed like a nice guy who would go out of his way to HIDE his horror from his girlfriend and who would actually do research on her behalf on the interenet. But if you look at the posts below his, you see real hostility, which--I would bet--is coming from LSL employees. Who else would care enough to lambaste the poor guy.
Just my thougthts. As I said, I'll see how my sis does and go from there, but the assembly line mentalily of what I experienced last week, as well as the OBVIOUS misleadings make me think I won't proceed. FYI--the recovery time is not like they say. My sister is swollen and no where near being able to go out in public, plus she has "pull" lines that concern me.
7/23/07
Kendra...how is your sister doing....is she happy with the results??
8/1/07
Kendra, Do you have to put money down ($400 deposit) just to get the consult???????? Will you be able to get it back if you chose not to proceed with the LSL?
8/7/07
Like a lot of people on this list, I am considering having the procedure done in Phoenix. Most of the positive comments from people have come shortly after the procedure was done. I've seen comments elsewhere that state that the results were short lived. Is there anyone still on this list that has had long term results - positive or negative to share? Thanks.
8/14/07
I just had my consultation today and am doing some research within the 7 days allowed for cancellation. Has anyone had the procedure done recently in Phoenix and what results have you had.
I would appreciate hearing the results of Kendra's sister's surgery. This forum is helpful to those of us looking for answers.
8/14/07
Maria I have a consult day after tomorrow -- I understood it was free -- what is the "7 days for cancellation"? Thanks
8/18/07
Plastic surgeons will never compete in this deal--Plastic Surgeons have been trained to do the "full boat"--at about $22,000---and guess what? There are absolutely no guarantees with the $20,000 full SMAS--I had that full boat almost 9 years ago--not so bad--pain--not bad--scars are scars--not bad--I looked "strange" (mostly to myself) for months--and he's the real deal--after about three years--I was continuing to age--duh !!!
I can't wait to do the lifestyle lift--just think--you can do this lift everyfew years--absolutely less downtime--no matter how you figure it--and you can do it almost 5 times for less money than the "full boat"--also--no life-threatening general anesthesia--Get real you guys!!! The old time and conventional plastic and reconstructive surgeons will never go along with the idea of an easier and less expensive idea---that's why they are zillionaires.
9/5/07
I am looking at having LSL in Phoenix. However after reading all of the comments I am still unsure. First - if the cost is still $4000-$6000 and it sounds like it is then I may want to head south to Mexico. Second - I have really short hair and it appears that the scarring can be a problem. Lastly - I am concerned with how long-lasting the results would be. If anyone has had a more recent experience in Phoenix or has thoughts on these concerns please respond. Thanks
9/7/07
Hi all, Now sinci I'm not from the Phoenix area I know this does not apply directly to me but I did have it done in the NJ area and I would be happy to voice my opinion. I too believe after reading this that these are people from LSL. I had the worst experience with a doctor there and knowing I will need to repair this is frightening. I had just the nck done in May and I am still in serious pain everyday. I called the office 2 days after surgery to speak to a Dr. or nurse and was told there was nobody available till Monday. By that time behind my left ear there was a build up of blood and fluid . The Dr. did come in (usually only a nurse will see you after surgery) and began to blame me for doing something wrong. He said I was smoking which I hadn't beeen considering I was in too much pain to leave my bed. Without any pain meds he proceded to stick needle after needle in to remove the fluid. I went home in more pain than I thought was possible. Had to return 2 days later and wait one and a half hours to be seen by him even though I had an appt. Again he nasty as hell and made me feel like I was a waste of his time.. At this point the fluid and pain were still there. Called for pain medicine and made the 1 hour trip in and was told he couldn't or wouldn't give me anymore. Had recieved it twice. Fast forward to today...can't sleep on that side ,can't chew without pain and the the scarring is a botch job. I am a nurse so I do know how to take care of myself and I know when a Dr. has screwed up royally. It will not end here . If I don't get the results I want I will be sitting in the front receptionist office telling all the potential clients what to expect. One day my foot. If you are unhappy with your results I suggest you do the same.

In April 2007, I decided to check into the lifestyle lift procedure. The initial appointment was with a LSL consultant. An appointment with {edited} was made for August 29th. Surgery date was set for September 12, 2007. I met with Dr Henderson on the 29th and she was very honest and up front about the possible results of the procedure. She simply said you will look a good 59, refreshed and less tired.
The surgery was performed on September 12th. A burning sensation was felt with the numbing shots. Yes, you can hear the cutting of the excess skin.
Today is September 16th. With the help of my daughter, (DON’T DO IT WITHOUT AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF HELP) I did everything as printed in the post op instructions. (Help is absolutely necessary!!!) Cleaned with peroxide/water, bacitracin, lacri lube, if having eyes done, ice every hour, arnica montana, anti-biotic as prescribed.
I took the pain medication she prescribed for 2 days and have not needed any since. Most of the post op pain was due to the removal of the bags under the eyes. I have swelling in my face, behind the ears and in the eye area. Large tendons in the neck are very tight but was assured they will loosen with warm compress and time. Sutures on upper and lower eyelids will be removed on the 18th. Sutures behind the ears will come out September 24th. With the swelling and bruising, Yes, I looked like a train wreck…………..but this too will pass.
Don’t know how I will look six months down the road but at this point and time I am very pleased with the results of the LSL procedure done my Dr. {edited}.

Can you really tell how much younger you look after only 4 days? I thought you would be pretty much swollen and distorted at this point.
12/15/07
I'm the queen of plastic surgery and when a friend told me about this new procedure, I decided to go online and research it for her.... fell onto this board.
I recently had a complete face lift by a board certified surgeon (not in Phoenix). I'm a 58 year old women and it's my second face lift. After reading all your posts I think I can shed some light.
The swelling defined by most is typical of a regular face lift. Numbness, scars, tightness are all typical of this or any type of surgery. I've had very little bruising with my complete face lift, the reason being, is that I typically don't bruise that much. I drove 70 miles home the next day after surgery with general anesthetic. I paid $7,500 and I'm semi-satisfied with the results...
ITS NOT PARTICULARLY the type of surgery that indicates results good or bad because we are so individual... our skin types, how old we are and how we heal in general plays a huge part in our recovery. These doctors, and yes some are much better than others, are more artists than they are anything else. Believe it or not, they are much like a hairdresser. Think about it, some really know what they're doing, they have an eye for aesthetics. While others run you through their mill operating room and shove you out the door before you're through vomiting from the anesthesia. I know Phoenix very well and I can tell you I've experienced both.
Good doctor or bad, this type of surgery or that type, you always run the risk... you need to understand it going under the knife. You have to want it bad enough to pay the bucks and be willing to suffer the consequences when it doesn't turn out. Nothing is ever permanent except a botched surgery. Some plastic surgeries... implants, lipo, can make you sick or even kill you. I'm kind of tired of all of it but we live in a society that makes us feel less than worthy if we don't hang onto our looks.
One woman mentioned she's out in the dating world again. I too know what that's like. The men on the internet all complain that the women look old and they are embarrassed when they actually meet them. They state that they are afraid to be seen in public with such a woman. They, themselves... fat bellies, white hair, no hair, a face that would compete with a bulldog and they.... are embarrassed to be seen with a woman their own age.
So we do these painful surgeries... to make ourselves feel better. It just doesn't turn out sometimes the way we would hope that it would.
Best to all of you in your search.
Kat

Hi, I'm not from your area but had my lsl in schaumberg, Illinois on Nov 21st of this year. The shots were very unpleasant, but I was told in advance they would be. I returned to work after 10 days with some swelling especially in the back of my ears and to date still have the same problem. My face is still very numb and massaging the sutured areas relieves some of the discomfort from this. They said the numbness could last up to one year. If this sounds like I'm not satified with the results, I would do it again tomorrow if I had to. My friend goes for hers in January and calls me daily for an update. Believe me the "discomfort" is well worth the results.

Hi Sandy, I am scheduled to have the procedure done by Dr. Martin on January 8th and was happy to read that you were pleased. However, I am a little concerned that he is not a board certified plastic surgeon. When I went for the initial appointment, they said that all their surgeons were board certified plastic surgeons. I am having the facelift, eye surgery and lipo on my chin.
Did you have you chin done and if so, was there much pain? Did you take the supplements on your own or did the staff at the clinic suggest them? All they recommended for me was vitamin C.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
Sue

Moreen, I am from NJ as well and was considering this procedure until I read your story. I am aghast. Would you mind sharing your location and/or the doctors name?? I live in South Jersey and they have not opened their clinic down here yet.....although it's supposed to be open soon.
Have things gotten better since your posting??
Thank you so much for your input.

I have been doing research into the Lifestyle Lift for the past year. I am 60 years old & a veteran of previous surgeries ... from breast reduction to upper & lower eyelids, under chin lypo,& tummy tuck. I had my eyes & chin lypo done in 1996 & the eyes are still wonderful. I would never recommend any face lift without the eyes & am glad to see that many of the Life Style lifts encourage this. Without doing the eyes it the face has a bit of a mismatch ... unless you are one of the rare & fortunate ones that never get lid droop.
If you really want a detailed diary with incredable videos go to www.llvideojournal.com This lady did a wonderful service to anyone considering doing the Lifestyle procedure. Be warned ... even I got a bit queazy when she was showing the 1st unwrapping 48 hours after surgery. And I have had enough cosmetic surgeries to know what to expect. I am planning to visit the phoenix clinic in the spring & then move forward from there. It's not a matter of whether I will do it ... but how soon. I would never have surgery without meeting the Dr on my 1st consultation so I plan to specifically ask for that. You need to visit with the person you are entrusting with your face
The thing everyone must remember is .. you will look bad at first..... swollen, bruised & raw. You have been cut on ... give it time. Good luck to all of you & take the time to view www.llvideojournal.com www.llvideojournal.com

Just made an appointment for a consultation, but after finding this site and reading comments I am already thinking about cancelling it. I have already had an extended abdomniplasty about 2 years ago, so am familiar with what is involved with plastic surgery. Happy with results by the way. But I wish there were more follow up answers on here from commenters. For instance, Kendra and her sister. What were your final results? Many of you above, what were your final results? Did any of you use Dr.Robles? Dr. Henderson seems to be the way to go from what little I can tell. Am concerned about the longevity of the procedure. Certainly I don't expect it to last a lifetime but would want it to be somewhere worth the money spent. Am really disappointed in the ads saying a 1 hour procedure and from what I read above, far from it. I have no problem with the fact it takes longer, just tell the truth. If they are deceptive on that point, what else are they deceptive on. I'm sure they tell you a bit more of the real deal when you are in the consultation, but never the less that's a big difference. An hour vs. several. I would rather know that they take however much time is needed tho. Also the recovery time is a little misleading. Would just rather hear and know the truth from them, not have to hear it from the above people!! I notice nobdy ever answered the $400 question on the consultation. I suspect that was a deposit on the procedure itself. Have any of you just had a small procedure done and then decided on the rest after that?

I have an appointment, in the Independence, Ohio lsl facility to have my surgery done at the end of March. However, yesterday I decided to get online and check into lsl. I found a site with very negative and frightening testimonials from many woman who had the lsl. Those testimonials totally turned me off to lsl. None of these testimonials were from Ohio (Independence)and I would so like to hear from someone who had their lsl done in Independence. I know for a fact that there are hundreds and hundreds of doctors out there who claim to be certified plastic surgeons, who had their major training in other fields and have only gone to seminars for information on how to do cosmetic surgery. One of my daughters took a chance on a doctor in the Akron, Ohio area who claimed to be a board certified plastic surgeon (how do they get away with this?)and he botched up her breast augmentation so badly that she had to have reconstructive surgery by a real board certified plastic surgeon who said he never saw a botched up surgery like hers but he would try his best to do what he could to help her. He did help her tremendously, but the breast that was the worst is still not 100 per cent.
I am 69 years old and did have a total fact lift when I was 53 by a highly recommended board certified plastic surgeon (I checked this out and his cridentials were genuine)and he did an awesome job. The cost was definitely higher than the lsl, but as one testimonial said - you get what you pay for. I did look like a train wreck after the surgery, swelling, bruising, numbness but this is to be expected. I was totally satisfied with the outcome. The scars in the front of my ears are almost undetectable as well as scars in the back. However, after the pinkness went away, you can see the tiny white incision marks behind my ears. But, as many women in the testimonials mentioned, the scaring around their ears was and is terrible! This should never happen!
I did see an honest to God board certified plastic surgeon before I contacted lsl, who was highly recommended by a friend who had a face lift by this doctor. She did her research and found out he was one of the best. I had a consultation with him and he was very professional. Of course, his cost is over twice as much as lsl charges, but I can deal with that as long as I know I am in safe hands. Two weeks ago when I went to my primary doctor, I told her about my plans to have a face lift and the first thing she said was to be absolutely sure that I go with a board certified plastic surgeon and that I check into his credentials and reputation.
I know every person who considers plastic surgery wants to have an excellent result and now, after reading all the negative testimonials about lsl, I am concerned and unsure what to do.
My question and concern is - Who Is Writing These Testimonials, Positive Or Negative? Are those writing the negative testimonials connected with the Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who are losing a lot of business and money because of lsl? Are those writing the positive testimonials connected with lsl (not necessarily patients) doing so to get more patients? There is no way of knowing who is being honest with these testimonials and who is not.

Type your doctor's name in your search engine, click search and information should be available. That's what I did and I found out the doctor who is suppose to do my lsl is board certified in "Obstetrics & Gynecology!" Not plastic surgery. I've decided not to go with lsl. I'm not saying that all the doctors doing the procedures aren't qualified and some may be doing a good job, but most if not all are NOT board certified plastic surgeons and I am not taking chances with my face by going to a doctor who doesn't specialize and/or who isn't board certified as a plastic surgeon. Just my opinion. It will cost more, but I'm willing to pay to have it done right and not take chances.

I have checked online, and found that most of the doctors doing the lsl are not board certified as plastic surgeons. I suggest everyone check out those certificates on the walls and see if they say - board certified plastic surgeons. A doctor must specialize in plastic surgery and have put in several years of schooling and training in that field to be board certified. There are thousands of doctors who are board certified in other fields, who have participated in seminars and short term training for plastic surgery and are doing the procedures all over the world! Not just with lsl, by the way. I don't doubt that some, even though they have not had the specialized training in plastic surgery, are good at it. Make sure you have actually seen, in person, some of the doctors work and only rely on honest info from people you can trust.

I'm pretty much thinking like yourself. I am not going forward with this procedure. Another thing that turned me off was when I filled out an online request for a date in Feb. someone called me immediately twice and I just didn't like the feel of the pressure coming so quickly. Sounded like they were frantic to get the appointment fulfilled. I never called them back. I am just so disappointed that no one in the comments answers any questions that some others leave for them. I hate to spend that much for the real deal, altho I can afford it. It just seems so vain!!! Also, hate going under anethesia even tho I did just fine with the abdomniplasty. Oh well, maybe I'll just stick with this "old" face! Ha!

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW OFTEN CAN YOU DO THIS PROCEDURE. AND IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS DONE THIS A WHILE AGO, BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR IF THE RESULTS ARE STILL GOOD AND IF THEY ARE STILL HAPPY

I am wondering if someone who had the LSL done recently by Dr. Henderson in Pheonix would share their experience.

I have an appointment 2/5/08 for a "free consultation" - I too would like to know if someone from the early days (i.e. last year's posts around this time) are still happy with their results. I don't mind spending 4-7thousand dollars if the clock is rolled back and then moved forward appropriately. In other words, give me 10 years back, and I'm happy to re-age that 10 years. Any thoughts?
My appointment is at the Camelback location. After reading comments, I would like to hear private posts from those who had Dr. Henderson, because after reading the above posts, I think I will be seeking her as my surgeon.

I had the LifeStyle Lift done 11/28/07 and also had under chin lipo. I looked pretty good until about a 6 weeks later, now it appears my left side (jowls) are back. I still have very noticeable bruising in front of both ears and underneath. I have alot of lumps still, in front and under ears.
My ear lobes are sewn tight to my face in front and I cannot wear earrings to bed because the dig into the back of my neck. Finally, I have large, deep wrinkles by my ears from my chin down and towards the back of my neck.
Don't think I can ever wear my hair short again.
Dr. {edited} did my procedure. I have not went back for the after pic's which they take after 4 weeks. Good thing, because I was still swollen and thought I was happy. That has changed.

I would not recommend the lifestyle lift to anyone anywhere, especially in the Phoenix area. I would like to have anyone contact me who has had it done there, and is unhappy with the procedure and the results. Am only a few months out and already drooping and sagging. It is not worth all the money I paid for this. They need to refund the money so I can go to qualified cosmetic surgeon to do it over the right way. This procedure is nothing like it is presented in the video and the so called consultation with high pressue tactics. I could go on and on about my experience, but they probably wouldnt let it go through.
Please contact me.
Sincerely,
C

I am wondering if you had Dr. Martin do your procedure as you posted on Jan 12, 2007. Please let me know how it went and if you are satisfied with the results.
2/25/08
Have had it done in Phoenix and am not very happy with the results. It was not a pleasant experience. Cost was high. It was not worth it!!!!!!!!!! Wish I had known about this website before I decided to go that route.
2/25/08
Was wondering if you had the lifestyle lift done in Phoenix in Jan.?And how you liked the procedure and the results.
2/25/08
Believe me, the advertising is false and very misleading. They tell you what your individual procedure will cost and then you have to pay 10% of that on that day. It certainly wasnt done in an hr. More like 2 hrs., and that was only the lift and lipo under the chin. Nothing else. And the results do not last very long. After the swelling goes down, then the jowls and neck starts sagging worse than before you had it done.
2/25/08
Good Choice not going forward with LSL. Spend the extra money and go to a good qualified cosmetic surgeon. I wish I would have!!!!!!!-

A friend of mine had this procedure done 6 months ago by Dr. {edited} and would not recommend it. Her results were very minimal. She is extremely disappointed to put it mildly. Pay the extra money and go to a reputable cosmetic surgeon in your area.

Where are these open houses??????? Never heard of them in the phoenix area!!!!!!!!!!
3/1/08
At first I was pleased, but after 6 months, then a year later, I'm sorry I spent the money with LifeStyle Lift. I should have gone to a Board certified plastic surgeon. Seems they have a better procedure that lasts. I wish more people who were happy at first would come back to give their comments after a year...

I had the face and neck done in Phoenix 2 weeks ago.

I had my procedure Jan 14 2008. I felt like I was part of a cattle line after procedure was done. Went to get stitches out and said to the girl I would likre to see the Dr, as I have some concerns, like new indents in my chin area. She said I would need to make an appointment to see him. I said this is my appointment. Well, I have never seen the Dr again or did I receive the phone call I asked for. Still waiting and it is March. I had to take an additional weeks vacation, as I work in retail and was not ready to do any of the work I did. I was still very swollen. I am still having trouble behind my ears. They seem to stay irritated, feels like I have 2 deep inset pockets that stay irritated. Everyone tells me its the scars. I cannot see them but will tell you it is very annoying and irritating. I want to itch and rub, but I know I cant do this, so I keep mederma on it. Gives alittle comfort, not much.
I don't believe they are very honest about what happens after your procedure. I see very little results. People still guess my age, which is 54. The youngest people will say is 49. I would never have this procedure again. Lets just say, they took my money,
cut up my ears and now left me hanging, because they don't care after they get your money. Yes, I left my procedure to have my stitches removed, made several comments that I was upset. They all looked at me like I had 3 heads, didnt say a word. The girl that removed the stitches said I'm sorry, I don't understand myself that you cannot see the Dr, but this is how they do things but she would let the office manager know how upset I was. Well to date, I have not heard from anyone. I went to my family Dr to have a stitch removed that was left behind.
I would love to do a commercial for the truth of what to expect. I had 2 children natural, so I can tolerate pain. This was torture!!! Had my procedure done in Phoenix Arizona at the 22nd street and Camelback location. I believe this is the only facility in Phoenix at the time I had procedure done.
Sincerely
Diane

Had my procedure Jan 14th. Not happy at all!!! I felt like I was cattle that just got butchered. Never saw or recieved a call back that I requested from to speak to Dr.
Still havong alot of irritation behind my ears, feels like I have deep inset holes that keeps getting irritated. I'm 54 and I keep being told I look 50. Not what I expected from the procedure lol. I actually had people tell me I looked younger before lol. I at least had people say 48 before the procedure. I just hope the irritation will go away, alot of money for this annoyance.

Comment to Azlady. I would like to contact you. You are not alone in your grief over this procedure. Please e-mail me at {edited}. There are several of us who have had bad results there at the Phoenix location. We need to contact channel 3 or 5 or 10 or 12 to get some exposure to these people and the false advertising that they do.
Please get in touch with me . If they block out my e-mail, then e-mail me back a comment on this web page and we will figure out a way to get in touch. I had my procedure done in January also..

Can you give me current feedback on how you are now with the results.
3/30/08
Who did you have and are still having issues. Recommendations?
3/30/08
Have put down a deposit. Who was your Dr. and where are you currently in your recovery? Now that the swelling is gone is it what was expected?
3/30/08
Who did your procedure. Looking to have this done with Dr Robles.
3/30/08
Did you have this done. I am looking to have this done in a couple of months with Dr Robles. Looking for information regarding their end results and had it over 6 months ago from this doctor.
3/30/08
Cadence did you go through with the lift? If so what were your results.
3/30/08
Now that it has been almost a year do you and she still feel the same way?
3/30/08
Have you gone through with having this done. Which Dr...Robles or Henderson?
3/31/08
My procedure was done by Dr. {edited}. Dont know about Robles. Only know that this procedure does not last. Its not worth the money, much less the agony that you go through with all those needles injected into your face. Its horrible. These people are not reputable. You need to spend the money and go to a real cosmetic surgeon, not these fly by night scammers.

Diane,
We all need to call channel 3, 5, 10 and 12 where they run their phony commercials. It is such false advertising.
I have an e-mail address that you may be interested in if they let it go through. Its not mine, but a very important one for all of us to contact...Hopefully there will be a class action suit filed. I am in Cottonwood. Are you in Phoenix? Lets figure out a way to make contact. Also I know a few other upset victims of this scam who want to do something to expose these people...

to answer Tee, no, I have not had it done. And now, after reading all the comments, I am afraid also...I may blow off the appointment and cancel for into the future. I was going to have to miss two weeks of work without pay. I read all this, and it makes me VERY nervous.
4/4/08
Doris, have you had the surgery yet? I am getting scared now, after reading more of the posts. If anyone wants to mail me, my email address is abitcrazy at cox dot net.

I am scheduled for april 21st for LifeStyle Life and am getting cold feet. I am mostly worried about chin platesma and lipo that Dr. {edited} added last week at consultation = I don't think I want that part. Any help out there.
