Leave tomorrow for Houston... pre-op for surgery on Tuesday. Kinda. Freakin. Out.

By Newbie322 on 13 Jan 2013

Surely its normal to feel completely crazy the day before all of this is about to start. I can not believe I have waiting until today to make a list of everything I think I'll need. The hard part with me is I'm flying to a different town to have the TT and lift. I'll be there on Monday for the pre-op, stay in a hotel that night. Tuesday is the surgery, hospital for the next two days. Thursday night I will have to leave the hospital (two nights is all they include) and go to a hotel, in order to go back to the hospital on Friday for my check up. ((Thursday night at the hotel, getting there by taxi, getting into bed and sleeping, getting up and ready for the check up, then getting on a plain - is what I'm worried most about!)) I will fly home on Friday and be home with my sweet husband and 5 year old. I'm such a do-it-all kind of woman, however, I know I have to let that go and the world will not end if I' m not running the ship. I guess I'm just looking for any might have missed tips, tricks and mind calmers you lovelies might have!    Super excited and nervous!

Sorry, just saw this! Because I had been taking excedrin and I would have bled out on the table from my blood being too thin. I'm leaving on Monday for pre-op and surgery on tuesday!
Nice! I'll be flying up there and having it done, hopefully not by myself this time. When I was scheduled for January 15th, I was going to have to spend a night alone in a hotel and fly back home alone, too! Yikes! Because I'm an idiot and never looked at the ingredients in Excedrin. Way too much aspirin! And I take that stuff way too often. He said I would have bled out on the table and died, for sure. So we had to reschedule!
Who is your doctor in Houston?
Dr. Smith. You??
Dr. Lyos. Have you already had your surgery?
No, it was rescheduled for February 26th! When is yours? Do you live there I'm Houston?
Yes, I am in Houston and just had my tummy tuck Jan 7th. I am pretty mobile now. I too stayed in a hotel after surgery, 6 nights to be exact. I have small children at home so I felt it was best to recover without distractions. My mom was my care giver.
Why did you reschedule?
